The sign up period lasts for nearly 30 minutes (one of the event's many problems with length of time spent sitting around doing absolutely nothing). I had time to chocobo to Ul'dah from Broken Water and I got in just fine.

The time I did it the sign up was much shorter. Ending before the 15 minute mark as I arrived at about :07 (It was already up) and told some LS mates that it was up but by the time they teleported there it had already vanished. The second hour it pop'd around :03/4 again and started about 10minutes later.

It's not as rare as these people seem to make it out to be. From the info I've gathered on the forums it always happens between 6-9am pst and/or 6-9pm pst and only spawns in the first 15 minutes of the hour. It is rarer in the sense that it can happen in any of the three cities(I'm looking into determining if there is a pattern to this now.) so you need 3 people to easily be able to find it. Also it always seems to happen twice in a row so if you don't want to camp it too long just show up at 7:00am/pm pst and then again at 8:00am/pm pst that way you only have to show up for those two hours and you will have guaranteed that you didn't miss a pop.

Unfortunately yesterday it happened in grid(only 4 & 3 people entered the two times) not uldah so you missed out on that one :/ I'll send you a PM in game if I see it happening since I'm also trying to do them(I got mistbeard just need the other).

** Aetherial gate pop only in one city each time.
** Aetherial gate pop always at 0Xh00 (01h00, 02h00,03h00,13h00, etc...) wait until 0Xh10 max. If you don't see it, you can leave.
** There is always two pop which follow each other in the same city. If you can have the first, wait the next pop at 0xh00+1.
** After 16 players use the aetherial gate. the AG disapear.

The most frequent schedules

- Between 01h00 & 04h00 GMT (IRL)
- Between 13h00 & 15h00 GMT (IRL)
- Between 17h00 & 19h00 GMT (IRL)

Ive been camping the whole day in Uldah with still no result

I logged in 3 minutes ago and it was in Ul'dah but despawned before I could touch the crystal, was able to talk to the NPC but no dice...

Got it an hour later in Ul'dah and did the quest. Hopefully I can get again and go to other zone.
