It wouldn't surprise me if someone ended up playing in a city state for fun and ended up getting punished because someone else recorded them and posted it on the web.

Oh now that would be hilarious seeing as players can and did record multiple footage of an obvious cheating/botthing/etc. but SE still wouldn't do anything about it because of the 'it might have been an edit or some other bollocks' claim.

I mean really? Do you think they will only give an excuse to cheaters but not legitimate players? Sounds like PR suicide to me.

Given that music corporations are notoriously terrible for flagging anything and everything, even full covers that make use of their own instrumentals? I don't think it would be SE actually doing the head hunting, but would have to bow to pressure regardless if caught. I personally agree with you but the stakes are different for a company when it's their bottom line being hurt, as disgusting as it is to say.
