Issue with "Performance" emotes for Bards.

It's a bannable offense to post video or screenshots with other character's names visible for the purpose of shaming or getting them in trouble, so the question is, who gets banned first: The poster of the video with nameplates visible, or the person playing the copyrighted music? XD

I'd be concerned about the possibility of people trying to use this specifically to get other players in trouble. Like you tell someone "this is private" and they record it anyways and upload it pretending to be you.

I surely hope this doesn't turn out to be a super huge deal, but regardless, I sent out a warning to my FC to do it in private places. I'm sure there will be people who test this and see if Square does anything. I'm being pragmatic and letting other players deal with it first...after a few months if nothing happens, then hell yeah, I'll be using the amphitheatre to put on weekend concerns. We'll even tour from Gridania all the way out to the Royal Menagerie.

I think currently only muting sound effects would work. I think it's under sound effects at least?

It is. My problem with it though is that category is much wider then I'd like, as muting SFX also means muting some of the stuff I'd wanna maintain

This is why when I went to try out the performance, I went into my house. That way, my inability to create music wouldn't grate on people's nerves. Now to figure out how to get my non-creative brain with the musical awareness of a squid (aka, none, as squids can't "hear" things in the traditional sense) to create nice musical pieces...

I have a suspicion this will be one of those QoL tweaks the devs didn't really expect to be desired but could put in later if enough people want it.
