Housing Storage for Hobos

The 4.2 updates in February will do nothing to alleviate the congestion due to the overload of house buyers on congested servers. There will be "an attempt to correct" housing issues again and another "apology" from SE about it, but nothing more will be done for those who want houses. There will be no instanced housing, as that was discussed 8 hours a day for 6 years now by salaried employees who code, create, and design the game. If they wanted it that way, it was going to be that way, or it would have been changed long before this debacle.

SO, why can't we get storage for our housing items? By that I mean EVERYONE. I have 4 retainers, and housing items have now started to flood my personal inventory. You don't have to have a house to have a garage to put stuff in. People rent garages all the time! In our area some people rent them to sleep in. Since most of us will never own houses, at least we'll have storage should we one day be lucky enough to.

Can you buy an apartment, FC room or can share a house with a really good friend? If you can do any of the three you will have some storage options. If not I am sorry. :/

I have about 75 million in cash. I saved for six months. Those ideas, though good ones, won't work in the next couple months when I have 200, or 300 items. Eventually, when the smoke has cleared, there will be no new housing that will fill the needs of all players, there will be another apology, and then another time to wait for nothing else to happen as well.

Giving everyone the option of putting housing items in storage will at LEAST make the journey easier when they can spam the city aetherytes every hour on the hour every day to see if someone's sub has lapsed (as I understand all demolitions have been halted since the Southern United States flooding) since that seems to be the only way to try and get one now, or just ignore your TOS, and browse FFXIV Facebook pages to buy one off someone. Mediums right now are going for 25 million. This means you have to pay the cost of the house to SE as well, which is around 18-19 million or so.

Also, logically the idea of not being able to put outside items in storage for an apartment, as I have one now, seems a good idea in theory, but sucks in practice. I now have loads of outside items filling up my inventories.

When you have to delete other items in game in order to save housing items, when there is no reason why we can't have 1 million slots each, it peeves the sense.

At least if you get an apartment or FC room you get 100 slots and 100 storage each. That way you can store at least 400 items.

I'm just curious as to why you are collecting housing items without having a house. All of these items are easily bought or crafted, with the exception of select event and mog station items oc, so why not get them when you have somewhere to put them
