    Evil trees.

    Hiya.

I'm not interested in “dat swapping”, it's not legit and not a real solution to the issue, in my opinion.
But I can say that I also have a GTX 460 and I'm having huge amounts of lag (and load) only near the Guardians of the Grove, dropping to 5-15 FPS. Way too many trees, all near each other and moving!
I also have slowdowns near the events' trees, but not as much as in Turning Leaf. On the maps, in battle and elsewhere I usually stay in the 35-60 FPS range.

I don't know how is it possible to move there in this condition (but apparently many adventurers can)... Hopefully this will be fixed with the new graphic engine.

OMG why didn't I think of this! LOL

    It works!

No drop in fps at all with shadows off and temp/gpu usage stays stable, thanks!!

Others are having this issue with better cards as well. Some have already reported complete failure of their cards because of this issue.

I may try to find the .dats myself, I could probably figure it out. I'm guessing you'd just need a model viewer for it? /shrug lol
Yeah, your card is actually better than mine, I have a HD5770 so it's strange to see your having frame rate issues with that. What resolution you playing on? Windowed or Fullscreen?

EDIT: looks like you found a solution! GJ! Best of luck to ya!

Considering how dangerous even one Guardian is, is it necessary for SE to have that many that close to each other?

Only one gets to throw it's apple at you.

Take a look at your card's official specifications...
    http://www.geforce.com/Hardware/GPUs...specifications

    Thermal and Power Specs:
    Maximum GPU Tempurature (in C): 104 C

You have nothing to worry about. The card easily supports temps well in excess of 70 C.
