THM lore makes no sense...

I've been going through the THM missions and I am really starting to get annoyed by the post 1.20 direction of THM and CNJ in regards to the lore.

*Before I start my rant, I'd like to note that the JP translation of THM is 呪術士 (magician) and CNJ is 幻術士 (Illusionist). As the JP translations are even more ambiguous than the English ones, I won't be factoring the class names themselves into the equation.*

"The (THM) guild is centered at the Arrzaneth Ossuary in Ul'dah, within whose hallowed walls are said to reside powers of life, death, and the beyond.[...]
By enfeebling enemies and enhancing their allies, thaumaturgy can prove to be an invaluable asset, particularly in battles of attrition."

Members of the Church of Life and Death = Elemental magic spammers? REALLY??

Lets look at CNJ:

"Conjurers' Guild lies at the Stillglade Fane in Gridania, where the voices of Eorzea's elementals are said to be the most powerful. Conjurers are trained to coax metaphysical forces forth from the elements which comprise all of creation, allowing them to weave powerful spells."

Weaving powerful elemental spells like... oh say

protect, heal and RAISE....?

I mean, CNJ even has an ability called CLERIC'S STANCE for heaven's sakes!

Why are these spells and abilities not the property of the Arrzaneth Ossuary? The lore simply does not make sense at all, it should be completely reversed.

In my mind, the ONLY reason why THM became BLM (and CNJ→ WHM) is because CNJ was already played as a main healer and the dev team most likely didn't want to hear endless whining and QQing on the forums if roles were suddenly swapped.

I seriously hope that in 2.0 both classes will have different backgrounds, guilds and lore, even the names should be different... but w/e.
