See my point is that Yoshida isnt the person who made the lotting system or maybe he is but he is the one who signs off on everything , Why did he also implement same loot system in moogle , he could have changed it but his reason "Ninja Looting" Is a poor excuse for the real reason why the lotting system is the way it is and i shall reveal it (/facepalm) . He didnt know how to make a good enough time sync for this game so creating avatar fight with a rediculas drop System was the only way to make people Who Believe in Final Fantasy XIV will be a great game here till 2.0. With Pay to Play many Left some stayed but those who left shouldnt be looked down on where a person can do 150 Ifrit and you wont get totem or friends in ls say "oh yey my 17th Sword,Lance,Bow or OMG got bow my ARC only Lv.4 .It beat the smoke out of FFXIV's, that's for sure, and it's one a lot of people here are familiar with, and probably a fair 'baseline' for loot system mechanics. I wouldn't object to something more 'modern' or what have you, I just have no idea what advances in the great fine art of loot mechanics have been made since I was a young'n. You know, in my day we had to walk uphill both ways to lot/pass on something...
No, seriously, though, it's good to know the loot system is getting a radical overhaul in 2.0; the drop mechanics for the Primal fights are probably one of the only things Yoshida's done that have been an outright mistake, and he was working off an already fairly faulty system. Hopefully in the re-design everything makes more sense and they'll have listened to the players- sounds like that'll be the case.
Simply saying with 2 Dungeons Garuda on the way should we stand and not be mere Sheep being lead to the tune of Square Enix Herding?
