Nickname/character purge?

Scrolling through Lodestone, there are so many characters that are just sitting at level 1 for weeks on end, because someone has decided to snipe a name for a character, then do nothing. Are there any plans to purge those characters from the databases if they've been sitting around for x amount of time?

I think they would not delete the characters honestly but i would be wholly supportive if they cleared their names, like how when you transfer to a new server if your name there is taken already then it allows you to change it. That way if these people, though unlikely, do come back to the game they don't find their character gone just in need of a re-name.
