More egis

That's kind of a bad example, cause it's a feature that many people will make a lvl30 Bard just to have it, even if they never actually will play Bard (or rather, will play it just for playing some music). Egi glamour (or egi summons, if new on top of the current three) are only relevant to those that want to actually play Summoner. If you don't play it, it's irrelevant. No one will even unlock a Summoner just for the egi's.

As a summoner main myself I feel like egi glamour is a ver small feature that can take a backseat to other more important features such as the glamour overhaul. It is on their list, but because it only effects us summoners it isn't as important as other features right now. We summoners just need to have patience on this.

There are already designs for adds that are very similar to egis in many of the primal fights. What is taking them so long?

Also why are Shiva, and Ramuh not yet a thing for egis. Shiva and Ramuh would complete the classic triangle of basic summons, being Shiva, Ramuh, and Ifrit. They should also put Leviathan in afer those two. He’s a classic.

So much this!! I really hope more Egi glamours are released soon. I definitely at least want Ramuh, Shiva, and Leviathan, though since models of other Egi also exist such as Sephirot, it would also be nice to have them. I am grateful for whatever we can get though.

I get what you are getting at, but your argument is a bit flawed. We as players don't know what programming goes behind having music playing for bard verses letting us have more egis. From my own programming experience, as an educated guess, that playing a sound file on command with a very short animation that is the same regardless of note played is a lot easier then swapping the look of a summoners summon as it would have its own spell animations, effects, and sounds. I get the desire and argument for more egi skins or egis in general, but carbuncles were easy because they were mostly already in the sytem. Making whole new egis is going to be harder. Also who says they are not working on it? They may just be not at a point they feel comfortable releasing more. We don't know. Not trying to white knight, but got to stay realistic and understand the whole picture.

More egis will add undo complexity to a job that doesn't need it and more egi glamours just adds personal identity where you can make your egi look different then other summoners. In the end neither one adds anything to the identity of the job as a whole.

I don't think they're doing it because they're still unsure where they want to take Summoner. I think we'll see Summoner reworked from the ground up at this rate.

What will another kind of egi add? Buffing? Debuffing? Healing? In the end people will simply ignore it as it does not add enough dps and take a different egi. Summoners will always take the most powerful egi for the situation/party comp. This isn't FFXI where there are elemental resistances/immunities. A new egi would either be super weak meaning no one uses it or op which means everyone uses it.

Egi glamours then on top that adds only personal flare to playing a summoner. Which I have no issue with as I too would love more personal flare. But, it really does not add anything to the identity of being a summoner.

While I'm all for more Egi Glamours, I'd prefer if they'd focus resources on making pets more responsive 1st.
After that, I want a Sophia and Shiva Egi =)
