i just joined the server and was looking for a nice friendly active linkshell i am a ex-ff11 player many years ago =)

i read other posts that states uldah is where majority off people gather so i created a char in gridinai have a nice peaceful start but wanted to be a armour and gladiator and none of them guilds in gridinia does it really matter?

I can only say as long as you know recipes for armorer which you can find online you can level it anywhere as well as GLD, but the advantage of being in Ul'dah is the population and thus you'll hear /shouts that may pertain to you, such as: LS advertising, XP PTs, etc.

But @ lower levels I don't see why you couldn't stay in Gridania for the time being and get familiar with the city itself and area around it~

am i missing anything out from the gladiators guild? or should i choose a class which has its guild in gridinia?

Welcome!!!! I hope you enjoy your stay. I've been around since early access, althought I have remade my character a few times.
I'm not very "elite" but I know a lot of the goings-ons. If you need a friend in game, let me know!.

Starting in a particular city affects one thing and one thing alone. The initial 3 story quests or so.

You can level any job, go anywhere, be anything, join any company, etc.

Start in whatever city you'd like. You'll probably end up in Ul'dah at some point, you can do all your Gladiator stuff then.
