The Spires of Dalamud

Upon closer inspection of the trailer, I paused and found this. Dalamud let a spire of some sort fall to the ground. The collision of this object is also what appears to have breached Louisoux's barrier.

I think we're looking at something far more complicated than a time travel scenario.

Er...not to be a shameful bumper, but does nobody really have any comments or theories for this?

No theroies other than Spires gave me horrible flashbacks of Promyvion-Vahzl. Would be interesting if the concept is somewhat similar (crystal structures form around the spire.)

No seriously, I have no idea, but probably all the theories about Dalamud being an egg were kind of right?
Quests and the trailer all speak of the crash being the smaller problem and the "darkness released" being the real threat.
So maybe something is inside that spire, something even the great Allaghans wanted to get rid of...and now it's dropped onto modern day Eorzea

They look like huge swords to me. Not sure what can be gleaned from that though. Though I've been thinking all along we'll probably have something along the line of a lifestream(EI aether) moment and be saved and transformed after the initial destruction.

What I'm wondering is where does those Meteors come from. From the looks of Dalamud, it's pretty Mecha and I don't have an Idea Maybe they call Meteors ?

As for the Spires, maybe they're some kind of Transmitter towers to contact, or Generator Towers, I don't know... I don't have a clue as to what Dalamud is other than that It's a High-tech Allagan creation. I'm interested in it's identity, insides and purposes, more-so on the Civilization of Allag.

On another note,

In the Quest "To Kill a Raven", Dalamud seemed to actually be able to communicate with Nael, which brings me to curiousity. It grants Nael power when asked. At the lost of Nael, Dalamud did something and made him Perish into Red Ashes of Dalamud and absorbed him.
