No way. Have you seen the queue times for DPS? I love doing things unsycned if I can’t get into a roulette. It also is a great way to slow down and actually learn the mechanics with a friend. Not get left behind or raged at because I’m a first timer and nobody wanted to explain it to me.

It's just pixels people. If my owning the same horse as you puts you off...I think you need to re-evaluate your medium for escape. That's like saying I didn't "earn" the top hat in monopoly. It's just a non-competitive casual game that offers an escape for a couple of hours.

Again f that's what you think, then this genre is not for you. If your incentive is not getting better but having and sitting on the top gear at the time for infinity, then go to single-player games where you can max characters and gears, and then do as you please with them..

Having played Mmo rpgs since the late 90s it's not a valid argument to say it's a genre that's not for me.

And it's not about having gear that lasts for infinity. It's about having gear and builds that actually feel like they're worth the effort to obtain and content to actually make use of it in.

One of the biggest complaints players have with this game is there's never anything to do. And that's incredibly true. There's an absolute ton of content yet only 1% is actually relevant and worth doing at any time. The rest of itn8s obsolete junk that could easily be deleted entirely and it make much of a difference to the game.

Compare that to older mmos. Where there was infinitely more to do and infinitely more relevant content at any given time. Even when new gear did come out and replace older gear it was a much slower and piece by piece process not blatant replacement of absolutely everything you own.

Progression was slower and yet players were never as bored as they now. Now it's log in do the expert Maybe a 24 man if you need the weekly and log out cos you've done everything there is to do.

It's also why players don't want to do older content. Let's take rabanastre presently. Players might be running that several times a day or even a week in the endless grind for there weekly loot drop. So by the time 4.2 lands many players will have ran rabanastre 2 maybe 300 times it's small wonder they're sick of it and can't wait to see the back of it. Yet right now it's literally the only thing there is do do outside of expert for many players.

My friends will control their DPS so each boss has the time to rain down their mechanics and tell me how to avoid them. That’s how I learned a bunch of dungeons. Slow, step by step instructions then we mow the primal down after I’ve learned.

Mentor roulette says hi. I get a lot of the ARR primals in that. I've had a few Alexander(mostly Father and Son), but not as often as the EX primals. Kind of surprised/sad I haven't gotten any of the HW EX primals.

There’s a slight difference between getting a first clear synced via Mentor Roulette queues, and people actually queuing directly for old Ex primals/8-mans en masse. A lot of Mentor Roulette Ex primals only have 1 or 2 individuals that have queued in directly for it, with the remaining members being mentors tossed in there via the Roulette, rather than 6 or 7 direct queuers and 1 or 2 mentors. Not a lot of people try to queue in directly via DF for ARR Ex primals (or even HW now, I think); they usually turn to FC/LS friends and PF to get unsynced clears (very rarely, you may see a synced first clear in PF).

As for doing old content synced, there aren’t really any incentives for it other than the challenge and/or nostalgia. If individuals want more people to get their first clears of older, harder content synced, then SE could always implement additional incentives for going back and doing the content synced.

All this being said, even if one person did clear Titan Ex synced for their first clear, there’s no guarantee that they would really know what they were doing, and could teach other people. Just want to throw that out there.

For those that won't to experience somewhat of what things could of been that sync clear is still more fulfilling. Even if u don't learn everything u still learn alot more than guildhiest mood (unsync)

You see plenty of mechanics if you go in solo or as a tank duo.

I'm honestly more annoyed with the ones that feel "I did it this way so you have to also!". If people enjoy unsyned content then more power to them, if people enjoy syned content then more power to them also. However no one has the right to tell someone else that because they did something this way then random player 837,996 has to do it the same way. What's "fun" is subjective to the person. If someone is having fun doing everything unsyned from start to finish then okay...let them have fun. At least SE gives the choice, I'll give them credit there. Other games its one way or another. Everything synced all the time, or power creep kicks in and everything can be steamrolled eventually. I've been on both sides of the fence, yes its fun learning new content, but its also fun going back to the past and steamrolling things. That's just me though and I'm not everyone.

Let people enjoy their game the way they want to.

Yes you are. I can't imagine enjoying myself playing a game for the purpose of fun if I constantly let other people that I don't play with dictate how I enjoy the game based on how they decide to play the game that has no impact on my gaming experience. That might be just me, call me crazy.
