Let's be honest. A good number of those roulettes end either in failure or the mentor outright leaving. There's a reason the system as a whole is looked so down upon. Not saying it's right, but I certainly wouldn't call the mentor roulette a good indication for clear rates.

I've had a small percentage end in failure. Most of the time they are successful. And yes, a large number of "mentors"(properly read as self-serving-holier-than-thou types) do leave instantly, however there are still a larger number of mentors who will stick with the group until the end, teaching/helping people learn mechanics. It's when the people learning do NOT want to learn that it dissolves even faster than cotton candy in a puddle.
Just saying if you're complaining about unsynched kills you should seriously consider taking a sabbatical from the game because you're taking it waaay too seriously. Here's the skinny people do the old stuff unsynched because nintey five percent of the time they're dps which means they got to wait for hours for the queue to pop for stuff like ex primals or coils or just about any eight man content. Most players don't have that kind of wait patience they'll go afk and then when it pops they arent around to click yes then they get booted out of the queue and have to do the waiting game for another several hours. And then the best part happen if they get in. they die on the fight and a wipe happens what happens after the first wipe on most of the old content. people get salty and quit then it's the waiting game again.
Why do you hate it? It doesn't affect you.
I've never unsynced content for my first clear of anything and dont really understand the draw of it. I think it being in the game lowers the skill level of the player base at large and provides a false sense of accomplishment. Further, I think it is largely the reason we see large gaps of skill level between high skill vs low skill players, as well as outcries when things like MSQ Shinryu come out.
That being said, it means old content doesnt have crazy que times and bad/casual players get to take part in content they cant do otherwise. So its not going anywhere.
So you don't want new people to ever be able to experience the older content? People ran that content synced and got what they needed from it. No one wants to waste time running it synced. So you'd basically have tons of dead content. At least with the unsync option it keeps people doing it. So the new folks do get to at least go into the instances and see the content, if not all the mechanics. If you don't want to unsync, then you can put together a PF and find like-minded individuals. But if SE did what you're asking, it would just die, since people do not want to run this content synced any longer.
I guess it's your choice between people either doing the old hard content unsynced, or not at all. It's not like removing the ability would make players do it; hard content in this game is generally tedious and done only due to content gaps. That's why the ex primals die out within a month of release.
I don't get the issue myself. If you want to "go thru the struggle" you can still get a group together and run them synched. Just because the option is there to run it unsynched doesn't mean you have to use it.
How does this even affect you in the least? It's not like people are soloing SB raids and primals while you're stuck having to do them with a group.
You opened a thread like this just the other day, I don't see what you were expecting with a rerun.
EDIT: was beaten to it while looking it up, lmao. But the point still stands.
