i dont hide under bridges thats too old school i like to jump from out of bushes while your reading under a tree or jump out of the shower while your on the toilet something a lot more comical keeps the fans entertained :-D
In all fairness, while people have left due to *insert reason here*, there has also been an influx of new players as well. In the last week we have had at least 4-5 players join our LS that have started recently and are (in fact) enjoying the game, plus I have met others that have just started as of P2P.
Since you are not playing the game anymore and cannot see this, you cannot state that there is no new blood entering the game.
As a paying player who is in the game and can see the player base; yes, there is new blood entering the game.
So no, your above comment is not a fact; therefore you make your point moot.

it's funny you say this when we could see population before the payment began and after payment started and the population has declined. yes, a few new people are coming into the game, but more are leaving than are coming in.In all fairness, while people have left due to *insert reason here*, there has also been an influx of new players as well. it's bad when someone who is not even playing is more informed than the people that are supposedly playing.

Hey...it's funny you say this when we could see population before the payment began and after payment started and the population has declined. yes, a few new people are coming into the game, but more are leaving than are coming in.
it's bad when someone who is not even playing is more informed than the people that are supposedly playing.
no f*cking sh*t!
There's people who have left because:
Now tell me that you know about the whole situation, and if you do, bring in actual statistics about people leaving and why. Only then you can be credible.
- They don't like the game;
- They don't like the game at this state (which means they might come back at 1.21, 1.22, 1.23 or 2.0);
- They don't feel like paying for an incompleted game;
- They can't pay for it because of money issue;
- They can't pay for it because of the payment systems.
At least Kai is saying what's happening inside the game, which you can't see because you don't want to pay/play. She has valid points to talk about and prove. You're basing your facts with assumptions, and these assumptions at each phase of the game (temporal line, or more detalied: patches) can be wrong in a high scale of risk.
Sorry if I say this, but it starts to spin my balls badly when somebody says something without actually proving it (in your case the fact that people are leaving the game). That only leads to miscommunication and people would live in ignorance.
no. see this is where you are completely wrong. i am not saying any one particular reason is why the population is still in decline. what i am saying and i already did is that "yes, some new players are coming into the game, but more are leaving then coming in"Hey...

that is not opinion. the population still going down is a fact.
the person they quoted did not say there was no new blood at all. they stated and i quote
"And as I said before, Yoshida's efforts have not maintained the playerbase, much less garnered any new blood to speak of"
neither of those are wrong. we do have new players coming in, but since the population overall is still in decline it's not maintaining. it doesn't matter the reason that those people are gone. the point is at the end of the day there's less players today than we had before payments began so the population is not maintaining it is still in decline.
"which you can't see because you don't want to pay/play" <<---- just so i can clear this up and keep you from looking foolish. i do play daily and i am paying.
before payment the population on karnak before payment began was around 200-250 on north american prime times. now the population is around 110-150. what other proof do you need that the population is going down still? yes, there are some new players that are getting the game and playing it, but there is a higher number of people leaving the game than coming into the game.

Wait, are you talking about population right now? Because I'm talking about the population until 2.0 and beyond, those who are interested in FFXIV.no. see this is where you are completely wrong. i am not saying any one particular reason is why the population is still in decline. what i am saying and i already did is that "yes, some new players are coming into the game, but more are leaving then coming in"

"Leaving FFXIV" in fact means that you're completely leaving it, not being interested. That's why I grew mad about your post. Still, think about people that will come back at 2.0 or earlier. Saying that Now people are leaving doesn't mean that In The Future people will not come back. We might lose 100s of players, but we might gain those 100s, and that's part of what SE is aiming with FFXIV if they want money. It's risky to say that people have left the game and the population will steadily shrink. It's not certain, that's all.
Do you get it now? They might lose 100s of players now, but they might gain 1000s of players in the future if they play their cards right, so please don't give these uncertain assumption to people. Saying that "200 before and 150 now" bullcrap is not sufficient to prove that the game population will steadily decrease.
Maybe you should read then, inform yourself, and actually understand my point.it's funny you say this when we could see population before the payment began and after payment started and the population has declined. yes, a few new people are coming into the game, but more are leaving than are coming in.

Xoo specifically said:
Regardless of how many have left (which is a fact and I never argued this point), the very fact that people ARE joining the game and there IS new blood coming in totally negates their WHOLE point which was 'there is no new blood to speak of'.Yoshida's efforts have not maintained the playerbase, much less garnered any new blood to speak of.
So where in my post am I uninformed? Oh wait I'm not, because I never said anything that isn't already known! /rolls eyes
