I'm with you on one thing: Wasting my time trying to state the obvious to you. Yoshida's influence has not made the game better. The number of people still playing the game directly reflects this. Now, who's at the forefront of v2.0? That's right: Yoshida. For starter, it's "SE knows what the f*ck they're doing".
Just think out of the box.
Being the CEO of Square-Enix, you wouldn't invest on a title that is destined to fail, rite? You want it to succeed. That's why they know what the f*ck they're doing; because they are going to rise FFXIV from the grave with a plan in mind. Therefore they know what the f*ck they're doing. Just please don't let me explain this wasting my f*cking time =)
(not related to your points)
A. If it's gonna fail, it's just money thrown in the bath tube.
B. The game, differently from the other failed games, is getting changes to the Core. We are not talking about games that have undergone failing periods trying to get up and putting the same sh*t again. They're putting something that will change the world of Final Fantasy XIV.
I don't know how somebody can get pessimist knowing all of this. Plus, we're getting more content in the future, and people likes content.
But at the end we'll see at 2.0 who is right between you and me =)
