i never said look at me i won i was just trolling because people who make these threads throw themselves out their and don't expect for people not to bust their imaginary bubble. what if this what if that i respect peoples opinion but if it was titled i have some ideals for new content then i would've left it alone but no its titled help bring people back.....wtf.....i want the bad people to leave....not come bak lol just messing.... but seriously if your going to argue something let it have some actual logical basis. Example djjdiss long post about his opinion about achievement, jobs, killing hnm's, getting gear bla bla 2.0 just an over haul and every adj he could find to make the game sound horrible but at the end of all that he didnt list anything that made his point factual half the things he listed can only be judged by personal opinion anyway all that rant and it only told us how he felt about the game not how the game is. the point is weather you want to do it or not its there to be done you can call it broken you can say its boring to sit and craft all day but its content point blank if you don't want to do it its your choose no one is mad at you just remember when you come make a thread like this people who see the game for what it is not what they think. will eat you alive as you can read on the links that shows all the content that is supposed to be implemented up to 2.0 during 2.0 and after 2.0 the people that complain have nothing to base their assumption that this game is going to fail but their on ideal. the rest of us have FFXIV developers and yoshi on our side with updates, the outline, patch notes to prove why we are still here and that this game has potential to rival every other MMO. thats why you bought it, thats why you played, thats y your still in the forums QQing because at the end of the day if this game can get to where it should be their wont be another MMO like it. and majority of the QQ'ers are only interested in battle content SE has plenty of battle games you can just go kill things level up la di da di da but this is an MMO. if your not ready to experience it fully there are MMO's all about fighting out their wow rift fight all day, level all day, level crafting in a day go bak to battling. Se doesn't make an MMO to suit the needs of battle crazed groupies and jump off's but to develop a community where their is content that suits everyone needs or desires and i don't think se is worried about the groupies or jump off's they are more interested in the long term supporters and fans because those people who play for the next 4-5 years can support the game the jumps off who play real quick to do certain content then jump back to the next game will be making their bonuses.
you cant rush greatness

That's the problem. At the rate this game releases content it's very dreadful.
They release 1 fight every 3 months with horrendous drop rates to keep you busy until the next one. I don't really understand what takes so long in that regard. IE, in 3 months WoW releases several dungeons, with 30+ bosses all scripted to do different things. Sure most are won with the "tank and spank" strategy, and only a few require a lot of thought ... but it's still things to do.
We get one dungeon or so in 1.21, and then if you read the timeline the next boss fight is April or May against Legatus.
So in 6 more months you'll have 2 more fights. When put in that perspective, you'd have, at level 50, in 1 years time, 5 different scripted bosses (Batraal, Ifrit, Moogle, Legatus, Dungeon X in 1.21). Well, another if you want to count Ogre. There are also regular notorious monsters around the world ... sure...
On launch day SWTOR has about 1000. Heck just about 80 quests in its main storyline all w/ cutscenes and voiceovers.
We don't even really know for sure when our main storyline will get another quest.
They just need to pick up the pace. We all want this game to do well but when you start to look at their timeline for the new year, and compare it to last year, it still feels like this game isn't coming along very quickly. In the broad sense, not to discredit the incredible effort put forth in the recent patches. It's a ton of work, but the pace of content is dreadful. What happened to a patch every 2 weeks?

Please, don't bring up the

FFXIV has it's share of problems, but other MMOs aren't part of that list. I'm pretty sure most of the folks who decided to pay pre-2.0 are going to stay. The game is dead to the gaming press and community, and most of them are going to take (hopefully) 2.0 as a completely new game.
Sure TOR has great graphics for a20042011 game, a good representation of the SW world, great character customization, super original abilites not seen in other games, a successful marketing campaign, and of course great review scores all over the web.
This is most likely a WoW killer, with it's increasing player base.
Don't worry FFXIV is in the lower leagues. Have fun playing TOR if you decide to cancel your FFXIV account, I'll have fun with mybetagame.

"Everyone is tired of waiting for improvements, and being made to feel like we expect too much when everyone else in the gaming world gets the freaking job done."

FFXIV sunk before it made it out of the port.
And it didn't cost 3000000000 million dollars
while i agree, i don't expect and understand it ain't happening till 2.0. but i still agree with the op. i not had true fun with this mmo since they destroyed the few hnm's we did have and dkp was droped and so was real linkshell events. they need this type of stuff for the game to succeed. lets hope 2.0 is a miracle lol.
as for swtor yeah it has huge amount of quests but most are garbage outside of the main story line. i just spacebar threw it all and not read a thing outside of just trying to pick right answer to get points for my companions. already caped 50 though with the pl'ing in ffxiv is worse then that. people have max purple gears for pve and pvp already ...then what? reroll another toon? the game won't kill anything ..specially ffxiv if it goes in route with ffxi. if ffxiv is going towards this same type of easy casual ..get everything done in a month mentality then 2.0 will never save it from death. it will end up with 1 f2p server like dcu and all the other garbage mmo's. that is if SE would be willing to humiliate the final fantasy title any more with that.
GO FF SERIES GOOOOOOOOO I BELIEVE!!!!

Yup, like if SE would keep on investing for the FFXIV project knowing it will fail...I'm one of those masochist peeps who been on the game since beta... and i have to tell you when i log in and I find no one to do anything even though there is people online i feel not desire to play. the HNMs... and whatever is there is burnt already so people just log in for 10 mins say hi then leave making very difficult to do anything and if i wanted to play solo I buy a F...ing offline game.
I believe SE did a bad move start charging now.
they should wait until 2.0 or when the PS3 community joined us so whoever was leaving would not feel so bad as it feels now....
SE please read this and make sure you do something.
1- ADD more content like dinamis or something making people comeback on regular basis
2- Merge servers
3- ADD Roaming HNMs that is require more than 8 people to kill it.
the game is in need of more content where not only 8 players are require to kill something
4- As humans we always like to show our superiority to others , which it means we need content to compete against another LSs... as well
short words
DO SOMETHING TO MAKE PEOPLE COMEBACK ..
Best Regards
Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 will NOT fail. That's because they know what the f*ck they're doing.
To add this: Of course they're gonna add more content. Didn't you see the plans they have until 2.0?
We'll have more dungeons that might require 2-4 or 4-8 players, like we have now, so just sit on your chair and wait for it instead of whining for things they're gonna correct =)
