SE better do something or the game will drop dead

Xoo, it's gotten to the point that NOTHING They do will make anyone happy. It's becoming painfully clear to me that MMO'ers are whiny and entitled.

We complain about the game on launch(rightfully so), and so they poll the players, ask for honest input, try to give us what we asked for, and we complain. They fire an entire team, give us a free year, completely remake the game form top to bottom, and we complain.

Every patch that comes along changing core aspects of the game we scream "GAME KILLER!" and wail and gnash our teeth.

We wanted original class names, better combat, smoother UI, and revamped lore...they give us all of this...and we complain.

We can't level fast enough! they speed it up...we complain...they slow it down...we complain.

We want faster travel! We get airships...we complain, we get chocobo's...what there to easy to get? To much traveling to get!? We complain...what? Non chocobo mounts? RAGE!

Even something as tiny as a free gift mount is a game killer.

We flood the forums with angry post after angry post whining and moaning about everything we can think of. Nothing is good enough, nothing is what we want.

I'm starting to think that no matter WHAT they do no matter WHAT changes they make it won't be good enough.

It's their developmental perogative to listen to the players - a highly erroneous one if you ask me. You've got so many different kinds of players with different tastes that you're never going to fill their mouths with what they'd rather be eating. They should make the game the way they want to make it and say to hell with everyone else. I speak my peace not because this or that is the kinda game I'd rather be playing, but that the implementation of certain aspects of the game just don't add up to make good sense.

As well, people are continually paying for a product that is ever-changing; If people start to feel they're not getting their money's worth, then they are going to complain, which is usually on the list of things to do on your way out the door if you get that far without some good justifications.

Fans of the Final Fantasy series are all about storylines, extended content, massive hours and some good challenges. This game is a 180 and people are pissed off to no end.

I'm one of those masochist peeps who been on the game since beta... and i have to tell you when i log in and I find no one to do anything even though there is people online i feel not desire to play. the HNMs... and whatever is there is burnt already so people just log in for 10 mins say hi then leave making very difficult to do anything and if i wanted to play solo I buy a F...ing offline game.
I believe SE did a bad move start charging now.
they should wait until 2.0 or when the PS3 community joined us so whoever was leaving would not feel so bad as it feels now....
SE please read this and make sure you do something.
1- ADD more content like dinamis or something making people comeback on regular basis
2- Merge servers
3- ADD Roaming HNMs that is require more than 8 people to kill it.

the game is in need of more content where not only 8 players are require to kill something
4- As humans we always like to show our superiority to others , which it means we need content to compete against another LSs... as well

Sorry if I don't agree with you OP, got MONTHS until the relaunch and then we will get a better view of where this game is going. To be honest I look at 2.0 as the actual release, we are just hanging out in the game until then and we are lucky we get to see the changes as they happen.

I appreciate the respectful way you reply back to my Thread , I may made a mistake and generalize all the worlds ,even though there is some though(not to call it unrespectably way ) there is some true on most of the answers, disregarding the Throlls that are still paying. I guess is in Wutai where the population went down really bad and it takes long times to get a party going...

Some servers are having a rougher time that others, especially servers that had a lower population from the get-go. When you start with a lower population and then go P2P and more people leave then it will seem really bad.

But that doesn't necessarily mean that the game will drop dead. We are honestly going though a transitional period, and SE has already said they will do a server merger. I am guessing they will take the lower populated servers and pop 2-3 together to make one big server to combat the lower populations.

Maybe I am a FF fangirl, but I won't give up on this game until they close the doors. FFXI started somewhat the same way and look where it went over the next few years. I have faith that SE will refresh this game in a way that it will be stable and a game people will want to come back to, or play for the first time. When people loose faith is when things go bad, as long as people believe in this game, it will be here.

I like to think in a more positive than negative way.

there's no point in stating that your server has issues getting people together to play. it's the same on karnak. it's not that way on some other servers and they can get a party in 10 minutes you must be lying. they are under the delusion that all servers are just as populated as theirs and nobody on any server has any issues.

Not everyone is under that delusion, I know there are issues on some servers. If they weren't SE wouldn't be doing a server merger.

So as you see not everyone thinks that way as you state.
