Open World - Party Level Sync Feature - Any Update?

Back at the North America Fan Fest, Yoshi-P was asked if players could level sync themselves to that of a party member, so then when grouped together for open world (questing, fates, etc...) they would be level synced, that way the higher level player wouldn't have to drop party in-between fates, etc...
At the time Yoshi-P thought it was a really good idea and one that shouldn't take too much work because the sync feature is already in the game.

Anyway, I didn't know if there was any progress on this request, as it would really help out when grouping in lower level areas, and helping out new players.
