[Poll] Your most wanted character customization feature?

I voted for more customization options at the aesthetician, such as being able to dye and change the type of undies worn, eyebrows, and variable hair length (slider).

There are people in this thread actually surprised others are voting for butt sliders and not unlocking au ra horns from the face, despite only a percentage of the playerbase actually being au ra (admittedly it seems quite a high one these days)

Butt slider would be nice, though I'd prefer they just make them somewhat fuller (race depending of course) by default, but for me more aethestician options would be the best character customisation change they could make, never mind potentially the easiest.

And while more Aesthetician options are little more than a flipping a switch on the devs' part, I doubt that's a switch they'd ever flip, mostly because it'd cost them fantasia revenue. Many people, especially those on their first character and/or fantasia, only want to apply small modifications. There goes the easy $10.

Do I think that'd benefit the game even then? Sure. But I doubt the devs would agree, and it ends up therefore a harder banner to rally around.

You mean Midlanders, right? Us Highlanders don't do the flappy arms thing and arguably have some of the best animations around.

I'd argue every race could do with more facial options. At least Au Ra get four different styles, Elezen ladies only have two faces to choose from. Similarly, one can like a Miqo'te face but be put off by the stripes or the poo nose. My point was that butt sliders are universal. Every race, except possibly Lalafeller (and perhaps Au Ra ladies) have a butt disproportionately small for their figure and to many it looks jarring. I voted for Aethestician options, but that's also more universal than unlocking au ra horns from the face.

Edit: to respond to your edit, the question is which character customisation option would you most like to see, not which will most likely happen. Obviously SE aren't going to damage the Fantasia money train seeing as people will buy one just to change eye or skin colour. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like it.

I'd enjoy anything added to the customization menu, but it would, also, be nice if Fantasia lasted longer (1 to 6 hours).

The customization screen lacks a good portion of the voiced emotes, and you also don't get to experience all of the lighting. Just last night I had a situation where I changed a few features but one was cosmetic, the skin tone, and it looked fine in the editor, scenes, day and night, until I accepted the changes and got into the game.

The general "workaround" is creating a new character with your changes, but even then I couldn't experience the changes in optimal circumstances; I didn't have access to the clothing my main has, and I also didn't have access to dyeing. Additionally, this becomes rather tedious creating/deleting characters over and over to test out changes.

To be fair, the option was for the separation of all racial elements that are currently forcibly embedded into the face options. That would include such things as whisker-stripes, darkened noses, etc., not just the Au'ra horns. The horns are simply the most hideous example of the current restrictions.

As much as I'd like to see additional face options for races currently with the least, I don't feel as if providing a fair spread of attractors comes down to quantity alone, and I do feel like the detracting factors such as shit noses, markings, and the least attractive scales on the one face you'd otherwise like for many have just as strong a negative effect as the extra face options currently provide, and that it would be far more intuitive if they were included instead as facial markings or some other separable feature.

Put simply, I'd like for the obvious system issues (why are racial "markings" embedded only to specific faces while all other facial paint or markings are not; why can we adjust breast size but not the butt size that we'd normally want to make proportionate thereto) to be fixed first, and then for SE to work on how they increase the breadth of attractors for the less played or option-stringent races.

While I don't doubt most of those votes are legitimate, 'butt slider' has become such a meme in the community at this point that I wouldn't be surprised if one or two votes were joke votes.
Personally I want hairs to be unlocked from races and horns to be unlocked from heads. >:

Why can I only vote for one thing?

I thought about adding the option to vote for multiple things, but a lot of people probably would've ended up voting for almost everything. By having to make a choice we reveal our priorities. Perhaps next time I'll find a polling site which allows voters to pick three out of all options.

Polls such as this, while informative, can and have been often misinterpreted. I feel that means that suggestions must also be accompanied by examples. One can say they want longer hair options, but with out an example would i be talking about Ysayle's or something else?

I agree that examples make it easier to understand suggestions. At first I wanted to add an option for more hairstyles and colors, but we kind of get new hairstyles every patch anyway. Then I remembered complaints about the new styles always being a bit too similar to existing ones, and how the hair color options are lacking. I think Elezen don't even get a proper blue and in general the colors are a bit dull. The wording "More variance in hair colors and hairstyles" includes adding more hair style options as usual while keeping in mind the hair colors, lengths, textures and cuts we already have and not making the new things too similar. Anything longer than the PotD hairstyle, curls between an afro and waves or a waterfall braid would be examples of something we don't already have (to my knowledge). Here are some examples of hair styles added in different patches being somewhat similar. They are all short and straight hair left open, just cut and combed in different ways.

The point is to make our character creation wishes known to the devs, because it's lacking in many ways. I'm not going to exclude a much requested feature from the poll just because it might be popular among voters. That would go against the point of this thread lol.

I like the race, the face, the hair, the build and facial features, but I have no way to make her backside proportional to her chest the way every real life woman has. I think I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Body shape, hair, facial features and races all had at least two vote options relating to them. I didn't mention butts in the opening post, put the option first in the poll or do anything else to specifically promote bigger butts besides offering the choice to vote for it. I'm sorry you're disappointed in what people want.
