I keep getting the Aery on my 61+ jobs for some reason.

Recently on my 62 warrior it's been pretty consistent between keeper of the lake, Sirensong sea and sastasha/totorak.

Consistent means that's pretty much the only ones we get ...lol

why would anyone not want sastasah or one of the lower dungeon? its fast and you end up with roughly the same amount of xp as you wouldve gotten with appropriate level dungeon

Actually you will usually end up with fair bit less xp than you would have with dungeon near your own level. The roulette bonus will be bigger for the low-level dungeon, but the xp for mob kills will be significantly greater for a high-level dungeon - especially if you have any kind of xp bonus active (rest bonus, armoury bonus, etc.)

I was bored one day and just sat doing leveling roulette. Out of the 15 times I did it, I got Sastasha NM 12 times and Ifrit NM 3. I then quit and did something else lol I love helping the other new players but I am so done with Sastasha. I did Sastasha HM for the first time yesterday and liked it quite a bit.

Why do I keep getting the highest level dungeons for my character most of the time...As a healer, I hardly ever got anything below 61 once I leveled to 62-63. And I leveled all three healers to 70, two of which purely on leveling roulette once a day.

As for the chance of getting high level party on a low level dungeon...that's actually pretty reasonable. How many people do you think queue at once?! How many of them do you think are "newbies"?! If there are so many people that the "newbies" are already covered, then it's obvious that the ones in excess will be patched up with a really random dungeon...which may be low level. Basically, if there's no one needing a dungeon, you'll end up in one at random.

Strongly doubt it, but possible. Originally the game picked the instances that had the most open instances that you could fit into. Then they supposedly fixed that in HW's that was when they had those problems the finder not finding people. They fixed what ever that problem was. Even when queing as a full group(everything open) and say the lowest person is 50 it will still put you into the low low level stuff. I don't think the fix was very good.

They have instance a lotting trouble since day one. It plagues this game to this day. Poor planning or poor hardware, I doubt it is going anywhere soon.

From what I can tell the RNG for the roulette must be truly random, because my experience has been wildly different from what a lot of people are mentioning here. If I queue as a tank or healer (all of which I have above 61) I am almost guaranteed to get a SB dungeon. If I queue as a dps, regardless of level, it usually seems to be HW or ARR. It can be a bit frustrating getting low lvl content where the entire group is synced down, but ymmv I guess.

I would guess players from WoW. When Legion is boring. People start try play FFXIV.
