Went the forum/reddit route as well as it helped me to finish off to the 15 feathers I needed without waiting haha (def. works). I did help a few people who contacted me (as I offered/suggested), but most of them just wanted the freebies and never wanted to chat. So it's pretty easy to do, I'd just ask to be nice to people otherwise SE will not be happy about it lol (also, good Karma ).

You could always help new leaf player and ask them if they use a code. You be surprised how many will say "what code".
