About Cloud's Bike

We haven't heard anything about or seen Cloud's bike since Heavensward. Do you think SE might give it to us via event or in a campaign like the Falcon Mount? I would love to ride a bike while wearing Cloud's glamour.

they said they are not adding it ages ago. it was teased to showcase a person work it was never going to be added.

Exactly, it was a joke made by one of the artists and was never intended to be added to the game as a mount. Yoshi specifically mentioned it as so. To say nothing of it not even fitting FFXIV's setting.

Also, really the bike couldn't even appear in Eorzea anyway as it's technically destroyed towards the end of Dirge of Cerberus, but I think most players would ignore that anyway.

While I get that this isn't Yoshi's reason of not adding the bike to the game, this is still a really weak excuse. We have an entire empire that specializes in making mechanical things, the Garlean Empire.

Not only that but they already backtracked on the whole 'doesn't fit the setting' angle by adding the Yo-Kai crossover mounts. Arguably the Garo mounts as well - though they do a much better job at fitting in with the setting itself.

Unless translation were fcked up at that time, my impression was more like "We tested it and it felt really slow and underwhelming, we couldn't get the right feeling for speed on it"

the thing is now we got increased mountspeed, and if you put the model closer to the ground it will feel even faster. So eventhough I am not so hyped about it, I guess the question about it is still legit.

The only thing that you listed that's a stretch within the FF universe is the rocket turtle. The Falcon is crude but well designed and within the limits of current magitek design, fat chocobos (yes even flying ones) are a thing, and the Kokopopkorripor mount is some magical plant critter, Japanese myth maybe? Either way, floating plant thingy not really hindering any suspense of disbelief.

Now, you bring out something silly like the crossover mounts, and obviously there's nothing tying them down to the established limits for obvious reasons. Which is what the cloud bike would fall under anyway. No, it fitting or not is not the deal, Yoshi doesn't want it in because it would look stupid going half its speed, and also if it were in people would demand it fly, and that's just another level of dumb.
