botting

I hope someone can help me to understand. for most of my time in the game I've been soloing but i wanted to try and get in a party for the experence. I am a level 46 conjurer, I was invited to join in with a group. we were fighting then after a little while I noticed I wasn't getting any exp points. i was later told I was kicked out of the group for botting. I have no idea what I did wrong or even what botting is. I hope someone can answer this for me so I wont make this mistake again.

"Botting" is the use of various third-party software to run your character for you. This generally means the character ends up doing some pretty odd things that a normal player would not do. The "bot" in "botting" is short for robot, since no real person is behind the character.

As for why you weren't getting exp or why you were accused of botting... you will need to provide more details.

Hello, thank you for answering my question. the only more details is to tell you what i did to make this happen. I got to go with did group of eight to a place near dragonhead we started killing the gate guards so the gate would open and we could get to fight. the tanks would take off and get the mob to follow them back to were we were. once they got to us i thought we were suppose to kill them, so I was using magic to help fight them and when i saw someone getting low on hp, i would cure them. I thought everthing was going great, I was getting good exp points, then i noticed that my exp point guage wasn't moving and my name had turned back to white instead of blue. i thought my computer was doing weird, it sometimes does things just before it crashes. I tried to let someone know this but the game told me i was no longer in a party. I then informed anyone that could read say that I didn't know whats going so I am going to have to leave. after getting back to town. I shut down my computer for about two hours. when i went back on there was someone that was in the party like waiting for me. I said hello and said whats up, the person then started to tell me what a bad player i was for botting and i'll probably be banned. I told her that i was sorry if i did anything wrong. and that i don't even know what botting is. thats about it. I really hope you can tell me what i did wrong. I don't want to go thru that again. besides being embarrass, it felt like i was being scolded by my mother. thank you again for any input you care to offer.

You were removed from the party at some point by the leader. I have no idea why they would remove you, people can be real jerks.also not sure why they would think that you were botting.

that could be, i didn't think of that. They could of said something, I would of left. I don't want to be in a party where someone thinks i'm not pulling my weight. I really thought I was doing good. I was healing when i could and i was raising, I was also fighting with magic. What I really want to know what botting is?

Hrm... Most likely whatever caused your computer to have an issue made it seem like you were using a bot. I presume whatever actions you did resembled some sort of bot-like pattern so the players pretty much thought you were using one.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what you did to elicit that response, given I don't have enough game knowledge to know better, but I presume that some other player around here can figure the specifics out for you
