    - Roulettes. Especially as a PLD, WAR or DRK. You don't have to do them all everyday but even doing a trial gives you 10,500 gil outright and if you're going as a tank then you get a slight bonus on top of that.

    - Ventures. It's hit and miss as to what your retainers bring back but I've had them bring back furniture and dyes that sold for a considerable amount of gil. My record so far is a rug that sold for 6.5 million.

    - Hunts. Try and find an active linkshell that calls out hunts. 4.0's hunts have a chance of dropping a cracked cluster, which can be traded in for level VI materia. That's a great way to earn gil as high end materia usually sells for a decent amount.

    - Challenge log. Don't bother trying to do everything on it. Pick out a few of the easier things to do each week as you can get a bit of gil that way too.

One of the things I hate the most about this game, is how there's really only one way to make a steady amount of Gil efficiently - and that's to spend hours and hours leveling up your crafting and gathering classes.

As if that wasn't bad enough though, they specifically made it so that you can't just level up 1 class. Oh no, you'll need at least 2, to the point that the more you have, the easier it will be to make money.

BTW, don't pick Fisher if you plan on making money. You'll have a VERY bad time.

Other ways of making a moderate amount of money involve getting lucky with Wonderous Tales. Sometimes Khloe will get you crystals which you can exchange for level 6 crafting materia that will sell for A LOT of money. You know why they sell for a lot of money? BECAUSE CRAFTING IS PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE IT!

Thankfully, you don't need money for most stuff in this game. It's only housing, food, and pots. Everything else you can get just by doing your dailies. I think if you do all roulettes you will get around 50k.

Ok best ways, since I doubt anyone will give away their secrets lmao.

    Here you go:
1-Do weekly challenges. Can clear 10k per challenge, very limited, and you don't make a huge amount of gil.

2-Daily roulettes. Can make anywhere from 5k to 1mil per run, if you are lucky and depending on your servers. To make the higher end farm dungeon drops that sell for large one your server. Also try getting drops from higher end dungeons that are used to make the "Newest" items/barding.

3-Re-selling items. Some items like Cotton bolls, or wall paper , and paintings can be bought and resold for 10-100x the original cost. ARR beast tribes that are levelled are a good source of resellable items. Also try reselling crafting / gathering gear bought from a NPC.

4-Farming mats/skins. Aldgoat/Gigantoad/Boar hides all sell fairly well usually from 500-5k each depending on server. As a max level character you can get a stack of aldgoat in roughly 20 minutes.

5-GC seals can also get you a lot of money, check the value of the items on your market board, and trade in GC seals for those items, farm more items to turn into GC seals from Raids/Dungeons/ Fates. Raziqsand is a good example.

Well that's 5 for you Good Luck!

Bonus #6 - Offer to dance for people for Gil. You would be surprised that this actually makes gil, not a lot, but effort is minimal.

Ventures - get crafting mats that are used a lot (Halgai Mane, Manz Hair) sell em. That's like 10k an hour on my server per retainer and you don't even have to do anything extra other than check and send them out every hour. Doesn't seem like much but it adds up really quick.

Buy cheap stuff from the marketboard. Get a single crafting class to level 30. Learn how to desynth. Pick which classes you want to level up in desynth. Go into dungeons unsync'd for that type of gear and desynth them.

It takes effort, if you're actually willing to, to level up desynthing, but on days I'm active enough in dungeons, I get a good bit of goldsmith/leatherworker gear, which I just break down and then sell the mats on the MB. I'm sitting on 110,000,000+ gil right now from desynthing, and the occasional Level 70 party maps with friends.

If they hunt a lot or warp around a lot, then the teleportation fees would add up quickly compared to how much they get per hour. It's better to just attack the Halgai and Manzasiri in and farm it for an hour, but that still might be too much effort.

That sounds like they would be doing that already even if they didn't bother with retainers?

You just have to go back once an hour using return or free destination. If you are doing roulettes/PF just sit at the bell and check when you get out.

Farming is good if you have a lot of time but the ventures you can literally just afk at the bell do other stuff IRL and come back to send them out.

The easiest gil maker, if you want to stick purely to battle jobs and never ever touch a single DoH/DoL job, is the Challenge Log. It should be enough to cover your teleport fees on a weekly basis if you're not that active. Speaking of teleport fees, you can buy Aetheryte Tickets with hunt seals, so they pay for themselves.

Alternatively, go treasure hunting. Dragonskin maps for level 60+ parties, and Gazelleskin maps for level 70. Without DoL classes, you won't be able to gather your own, but you can buy them off others, or just join parties that people are making, explain that you don't have a map of your own, and don't roll on loot from other peoples' maps. Each treasure chest gives, at minimum, 3k gil or so, and it only goes up from there.

One of the easiest and fastest ways to make gil (kinda surprised no one has mentioned it yet) is to level a tank job to 60 and just run leveling roulettes for cracked clusters for Grade 6 materia and sell them, it's basically 90,000+ gil per dungeon. Outside of that another easy way is to turn in gear you don't need into seals via delivery missions then buy glamour prisms with your seals and sell them, I make 1 million+ a day just from selling glamour prisms alone. I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned either yet.
