Easy. Call the earlier one 'night skin' or something. Then at 70, you get a trait that replaces 'night skin' with TBN.It'll be hard to justify making TBN a level 50 skill when the skill itself is as thematically intertwined into the level 70 job quest as it is.
Return of Shadowskin, adjusting the type of damage mitigated by Dark Mind, the popular suggestion of reducing Shadow Walls CD, or even going with returning Dark Dance + new procc effect...
Things like that could both address leveling content aswell as the lack of mitigation in end-game content.
That may fix the awful leveling experience, the disparity in mitigation when compared to other tanks in end-game content remains the same as it is now.
Yeah, but there's a plethora of discussion about that separately. I think for the mitigation, Dark Mind and Sole Survivor are the main skills that need looking into - the first is stuck with magic damage only limiting it, and the latter is a useless ability that could be replaced by something like the old HW reprisal, or basically anything else.
I had brought this up as well.
If the lore is a concern (to my understanding, the infamous "Blackest Night" line isn't in other versions of the game, only English) they can just trait it at 70 with the TBN name. Make the untraited one called Shadowskin (if they aren't going to give us Shadowskin back as a new CD).
