I cant figure out how to place my retainer in the market ward D: I've summoned her at the bell, traded her items and set up the bazaar... is that all i needed to do or what is the next step?

You have to go to one of the wards that isnt full and summon her/him, by going into the ward and go to your menu,there should be a summon retainer menu pop up and then click!! there you go ^^

Note that you must "finish" with your retainer rather than "dismiss" her in order for the retainer to stay and sell. Also note that you can only dismiss if your retainer isn't bazaaring anything.

Uh... what? You can dismiss while stuff is in their bazaar. I do it all the time because I keep a few 99,999,999g items in to change my retainer's appearance.

Sorry, I guess I was less than clear. I didn't mean that dismiss only works when you have nothing in the bazaar, I meant that dismiss is the only thing you can do when you have nothing in the bazaar; you can't finish. Of course you can dismiss when there's something in the bazaar.
