Please help me out by filling this survey out!

Hi everyone! I’ve been a long-time player (and roleplayer) in Final Fantasy XIV, and I’ve grown to love the game so much that I’m doing research on it!

For my Senior Seminar class, I started a project I’ve dubbed “A Beauty Reborn.” I’ve created a questionnaire that shouldn’t take too long to complete and mainly asks some basic questions about the playerbase.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, simply comment in this thread!
If you’re uninterested, please at least spread the word! I need all the help I can get!

What does any of the questions have to do with a school project, care to explain what the project is? and for what class? the questions seem to be a bit too personal imo. And don't want to answer with out knowing more.

As far as I know (and did my questionnaires for Uni projects), you definitely don't need characters' full names for it. In addition, you shouldn't demand a RL contact info.
The right way to appoint an interview without interfering with people privacy, would be mentioning your Discord in this thread and asking people who are willing to talk to contact you with a "for a research project" line in the contact request.

Announcing a raffle in your questionnaire, you biased the research as your participators base will lean from the very start to those interested in betting and free stuff.
Normally it's being paid to all or no one.

P.S.: I don't want to sound patronizing or dismissive in any way, but maybe you should talk to your professor/teacher as right now it looks more like a commercial representative trying to increase their clients base?

I actually had a big post that explained it all posted here, but it was over the character limit so I left the full post on other platforms. It's for my Senior Seminar class; I'm an English major, and since video games are becoming a type of media source and are analyzed for literary projects, I decided to hop on in as well!

The "personal" question section is mostly for my usage. If people wanted to know more about it via email, I'd really like to have something to go by instead of "that person' over there ya know! :^O.

Names are to reverify via lodestone. There are a lot of people with similar names (first & last) on different servers, and I don't want to mix them up. Some of the results I've received already have characters with similar names, so it helps me be careful! These remain anonymous unless people are personally interviewed by me.

I've also already had people opt out of the raffle, because they'd rather just help out (which is nice). I'd rather not take up a person's time without giving something in return, so I did just that.

I've already spoken to my professor about this several times, and they've given me the OK. Different genders = different beauty standards. People play different characters for different reasons. No one's going to be called out for their name or gender. These questions are left simple to expand on upon personal interview.

You can bypass the character limit by editing a post after posting.
When editing there is no character limit, only god knows why.

I actually started playing FFXIV over two years ago for an English course, so I have a soft spot for these kinds of things, haha. Plus I'm super vain and love taking screenshots of my character.

The fantasia use is sort of glossed over, you don't ask any questions about why you use fantasia.
