They have already stated they are working with their ISPs and server providers to try and find a solution. As for compensation, again, this is NOT the fault of SE. Would it be nice if they gave players a free day or something? Of course. But they are not required to give us anything. Because the gameplay interruptions are not directly caused by them, and, as per ToS, that is the only time they would be responsible to compensate their customers: if gameplay was interrupted for an extended period of time, and it was clearly their fault. DDoS is not SE's fault.
