    According to today's update the DDoS problems should have been mitigated. We shall see.

    This is getting ridiculous.
    As a costumer I feel completely screwed being unable to play while my paid time is going away.
    If this continue I will stop playing the game entirely. A compensation should be in order or else I'll feel completely unprotected by this company.

    The DDOS isn't their fault, alright, but the issue on RECONNECTION IS.

    Right now I am unable to login AT ALL. I just get disconnected then when the loading screen ends I get disconnected again. This will go on for at least 1 hour. This is happening EVERY DAY.
    I can't stand this anymore.

    This happens like 9 out of 10 times I get disconnected during this DDOS. Must be some kind of protection against the DDOS but this is affecting me!

    This IS Square Enix fault! Why doesn't these issues happen with WoW nowadays? It's a game that's way more mainstream and I NEVER, I repeat, I NEVER saw anything like this happening with the game in the 10 years I played it.
    Also, whenever connection problems happened, it didn't matter if it was Blizzard's fault or not. they ALWAYS gave time compensation to it's players. That's because they put the customer in the first place, always.

    I'm really getting fed up with the way Square Enix is treating me as a customer. The support is terrible, and now those connection problems that are unsolved for days and with no compensation in the horizon at all and everything is fine? Give me a break.

    I've been unable to login for 15 minutes now. After the loading screen ends I get this error and DCed again. This has been happening for A WEEK!. It is not my ISP problem. I can play other online games JUST FINE.

    With the constant DCing while trying to even do my WT I broke down and got a VPN. I shouldn't have to. I shouldn't be forced to just to be able to play the game but it has helped greatly. I really don't know what the motive is behind these attacks. Are they REALLY bored people? (normally they stop after a day or so) or did Yoshi-P fail to sign someone's shirt at one of the appearances last week and make someone cry?

    Just to interate: I'm able to login on another character. I just can't login on my main character anymore.
    How can you say this is not SE's fault?

    Seriously, is there a way I can ask for a full refund for this game? I'm not having any fun with this situation anymore.

    It isn't. Not unless it is their servers will it be their fault. If you aren't having fun then step away from the computer and get some fresh air. Walk a bit. Wave to the Neighbors. Something. You could also play another game while this gets sorted out or put your money where your mouth is and deactivate your sub and put in a ticket for a refund to see if you can get it. There isn't much else you can do.

    I can login in another character I just created.

    Please enlighten me: How is this not SE's fault?

    How long did you wait? I have had times when a disconnect could take 5-10 minutes before the server recognized I was gone an log me off. If it has been a while I would contact support directly as it sounds like the character is hung.

    In order to enlighten you, you must first enlighten yourself. Become familiar with how a DDoS attack works and you'll understand this isn't SE's fault and they've done what they can on their end - and appear to be continuing to adapt.

    But until you educate yourself on the concept of a DDoS, any further engagement would simply be wasted. Good luck.
