First off, it's not the Mentor system. It's been around to years and has never done anything to the server. There's even a limit to how many Mentors can be in the chat so it's not flooded. Second, the servers have been hit constantly with DDoS attacks to prevent players from enjoying the game(or it's to annoy people that can get into Ultimate Coil). Don't blame everything on Mentors.
