    A backup ISP isn't really a thing for MMOs. Having a second ISP hardline wouldn't likely change the current situation but it would definitely increase your subscription costs because that would be expensive to maintain for SE. Most companies that have a backup internet use cellular connections to avoid the overlapping routing issues and those don't have anywhere near the bandwidth and speed SE needs to support their games; you may connect but it would be almost unplayable levels of lag for people.

    I can barelly access to the character selection menu. I know it's not SE fault but it's still being very annoying. It's only getting worse and it last.
    It's the ISP problem, ok. But once again, why don't they have backup ISP??
    Unstead of compensating, since yeah it differ from pple to pple. An option to pause/halt the sub would be great. I don't want to pay a game i cannot play.
    Hi! If NTT is still getting DDoS attacks in the US, I haven't noticed any trouble on my route going South through Seattle since the 11th. If I can help you pinpoint the impairment, I will. Then if it is NTT, you can open a ticket with SE and maybe they can get NTT to do something about it. If it isn't NTT in your case, maybe I can point you to the right people who can help. If you are trying to connect to Hyperion, please post the results of this command which will do a traceroute to the primal data centre:

    for windows: tracert 204.2.229.10
    for macintosh: traceroute 204.2.229.10

    Okay. Good to hear. If you have trouble again, you can find out more by doing a traceroute to your server and looking for the hop with the packet loss. I like to start with a traceroute and then ping the hop with the trouble to see how severe the impairment is at that point.
