Simply being able to select the number you "submit" into the machine would make the process much nicer.
It's kind of silly we have to submit them in batches of 3 or whatever. Just let us submit X number at a time instead of "3"..

As a predominantly group player, I think its absurd when arbitrary restrictions are put in place. Imagine if you left a city zone and it gave you the message 'its dangerous to go alone, form a light party before continuing'. You'd be upset, and rightfully so. Yet I don't suggest they should make that a thing despite this being a MMO.Even I, a predominately solo player, understands that FC Workshop projects are supposed to be a group effort thing, thus needs a group of people to complete. It defeats the purpose of it being a group project if a single person can do it all alone. If you dont want to deal with social issues then you shouldnt have the perks of a social system. Do some leg work, find another person or two that will join your free company, make more friends who will help with the group project.
The better design is to make the content challenging enough for four players that bringing less is.. more challenging. I'm sure you've solo'd a handful of FATES despite them being designed for multiple players. Fair is fair after all.
LOL this was acknowledged 2.5 years ago by an official CSR, and absolutely nothing has been done. SE is fully aware that it sucks and is unwilling to take any action whatsoever.
I'm not trying to dishearten you, but the chances of this being addressed in the next 2-3 years is basically zero.
I'll mention this and hope they never "fix" it. For those of you with multiple consoles or PCs, you can set up a free trial account and have them sit your workshop. Since they removed the time restriction, you'll never have to pay for that second (or third) account. Now this won't work with Shirogane housing unless you do pay or take advantage of a free log in campaign as free trial accounts can't join a FC.
Exploiting free trials and multiboxing is no solution. It's just bad design and typical dev/Yoshida stubbornness in refusing to do anything about it.I'll mention this and hope they never "fix" it. There are multiple threads in the subforums with specifics about how SE might do that.
That sounds kinda cool tbh. I mean, not a forced party or anything, and not for all zones. If there was one open world zone that was super dangerous, and you'd actually need party members to get through, that'd be interesting.
For example, you know how for POTD you actually need to go to quarrymill to que for it? They could make something like POTD in a really dangerous zone, and you'd need to run to it before queing in. It'd be kinda cool seeing people form parties just to get there safely. I think the dungeon would have to be rewarding for people to actually want to venture out into an open world zone where they could easily die without a party though. No flying or swimming of course.
But you CAN do it alone. I've made my own house skin for my personal house and only needed people to come afk int he workshop so I can submit all the materials that I personally made/gatherered.Even I, a predominately solo player, understands that FC Workshop projects are supposed to be a group effort thing, thus needs a group of people to complete. It was a solo project that forced me to have onlookers.
Bourne never really said it was a solution; just something one could do until this is addressed. A bandaid, if you will.

As A one-man-FC myself,I agree with everyone else.
And also as omni-crafter I don’t like to ask others for help.
Luckily, right now I’m in multiple Hunt LS.
All I have to do is ask in LSs and then more than 5 crafters are willing to help.
That’s Lamia people![]()
