NM gear should be fantastic for the level it's designed for however you also have to consider that those specific NMs are very old content.

Which doesn't really change the fact it's far harder to craft an Aeolian Scimtar (requires rare drop from a single, very strong monster) than a cobalt Winglet (requires regular materials). Given they are the same level, the Scmitar really should be considerably stronger
I agree completely and I hope we will see more NM's introduced in the future using a similar system.Which doesn't really change the fact it's far harder to craft an Aeolian Scimtar (requires rare drop from a single, very strong monster) than a cobalt Winglet (requires regular materials). There's nothing wrong with crafted gear, just the fact that crafting gear doesn't even have to use rare materials to make endgame quality gear.
I said that it should be better because it's for the same level. I was just pointing out the reason why it probably isn't as good. Not saying it's right, just saying why.Which doesn't really change the fact it's far harder to craft an Aeolian Scimtar (requires rare drop from a single, very strong monster) than a cobalt Winglet (requires regular materials).
