FC entitlements

I think they need be revised, because after the patch where even single players can get housing, making the FC go to rank 6 for land acquisition, sounds a little amiss.

I think it must be easier for FC than players have land purchase rights, because one FC house will serves multiple players and, as it was always been said, housing is a limited resource, so FC housing needs be encouraged more than single player housing.

Is not that difficult reach rank 6, 'tho. It just imho FC rank entitlements needs be updated to what the game is at patch 4.1.

A friend of mine who was on a long hiatus from the game once told me about how his FC would take turns logging in so they wouldn't lose their FC house even though none of them played anymore. In such a case, an FC owning the house means there'll be more people to help keep the land from being lost without actually using it opposed to a single player who might've used the heck out of that plot.
Then there's the fact that personal houses can be shared, making them comparable to certain small FCs with the exception of the FC workshop.

It's a complicated mess and you're going to find as many examples why FCs shouldn't get priority as you would reasons why they supposedly should.

Rank 8 requires 180,000 FC credits. Each GC expert delivery item worth 1,000 company seals (approximate value) grants 270 FC credits. This means it takes about 667 turn ins to reach rank 8. I accomplished this by myself in about four days from just farming gathering scrips. If you have a few people helping, you can probably do it in a few hours. It's disingenuous to say that people in an FC have it that much harder than an individual to buy a house. You have more people, more resources, and a much wider reach than an individual person. However, I can agree that the FC entitlements aren't really worth the work you put into getting them. Some are pointless upgrades, and others are just entirely worthless. I wouldn't be sad if they cut the fat and left only the useful ones.

(Addendum: I used items worth 1,000 seals because they were the least amount of work for me to obtain. If you have easy access to items worth more you might get more company credits.)

I agree that they need some revision in "4.1x+", although not really for the same reasons. Like a lot of things from ARR, the age is showing on some stuff. There's less need than ever for FC buffs since squadron missions can almost entirely replace them, for example. You can buy most of the gc credit items on the market boards, like the carbuncle clock, etc. There's airships, but those are a lot of work and not terribly worth it, we haven't used ours in over a year. Honestly, weighed against a personal house, FC's are mostly just a social venture at this point, and that is not bad, social ventures in MMOs are great, but it would still be nice to see them take a second look at the rewards and maybe bring a little bit more up to date. Same could be said for chocobos and a handful of other things. That said, I'm not optimistic, Yoshi-P has always said he'd rather make new things that re-work old ones, and I get it. We'll see what happens in time, I guess.

If tenants reset the demo timer this might be true. As it stands though the tenancy system is horrendous and I think that's partly why so many players want there own house because they can't trust the tenancy system.

A tenant might use my house every day. But if I don't touch it for a month it'll still be reposessed by the system. Thays why so many people are reluctant to share
