Can you please keep everything on a single floor?

As it stands right now I have a mansion, which I would honestly willingly give up for an apartment even twice the size of the current ones since I never really find myself going up or down stairs, but like having a lot of space to display, decorate, craft and lounge in. One 4 times the size would be ideal as that is roughly the size of the mansion main floor.

A single floor apartment would be perfect. Since we can create individual rooms if wanted/needed there is really little use of dividing them up by floors.

Honestly I'd be down with floor plans, as I'd kill for tier floored apartments. Let people pick what kind of floor plan they want.

I'd love to have an open loft. Just keep the stairs flush to the wall this time, the little nook in the medium houses is nigh impossible to work with.
It just sounds like a mansion is too much house for you personally maybe you should downgrade to something smaller.
Either way might be a pipe dream, I believe recently Yoshi stated they aren't going to do anything more with apartments and opted for more wards instead. Probably for the best as few people are content with owning an apartment over a house.

I would love to own a multi level apartment, even if it is just two floors + a rooftop garden. Let me have a conservatory dangit.

I would totally downgrade as the mansion is nice but is a lot of wasted space, especially the basement, for me. I do make full use of the first floor so downgrading to a smaller house would actually downgrade what I like. Same with the exterior, I don't use it much I like having an exterior, but even the mansions are cramped compared to other games I play with instanced housing where I have a giant courtyard, pool, fountains and whatnot with an a lot more slots to work with.

That being said I could live without an exterior, I would prefer to have one but it would be something I'd be willing to go without for a larger space.

I just hope we have options when apartments are reworked, a single floor is all I need but I would like it to be a bit more spacious than the cramped little apartments. I was hyped when I heard they were releasing them, but as with the housing as a whole, seeing these little hole in the walls was a let down. I know in Japan, small spaces is the norm, but there is no need for that to be in a fantasy game. They should have released them with options, I am glad they are revisiting it.
