You did nothing differnt then 10,000's of people, the "luck" part is you didn't get hit with a error or Q........ All the pre-nonsense you mentioned guess what most of us did heck my crew of 9 didnt sleep .we downloaded the patch the min it went live you know when pc people got screwed over for the first 15 mins and ps4 (like me) downloaded it in 3 mins. and we sat u the rest of the night talking till servers went live 4 of us got right in 5 didnt (2ppl in the same house 1 got in 1 didnt). you cant train for luckLuck is DEFINITELY a trainable skill. And I don't know about you, but I definitely planned for it. I was up an hour before the servers went live so as to ensure installation of the patch went properly. (It didn't. The launcher borked. Was I "lucky" to be up with enough time to fix it? No. I planned for it.) I even did research into which number was least likely to be selected out of the given range of wards. Sure enough, Ward 8 was one of the last to sell out. So that was my target.
As far as the queue goes, I was trying to log in about 10 minutes before it was even time. I knew everyone else would be trying too. Luck? Nope. Experience.
I wasn't able to control EVERY aspect of the experience. But I was definitely in control of the ones that could be controlled.
When the game devs come out and say how sorry they were for the errors people got when trying to loggin. there is no preparing for errors.

I was downloaded and ready before launch, and applied the fix that was found for the bad launcher about 30 minutes before the server went live. Yes. You CAN prepare for errors. I certainly did, which is why I was ready to go and others weren't.You did nothing differnt then 10,000's of people, the "luck" part is you didn't get hit with a error or Q........ I'd say "better luck next time", but 4.1 was the last land rush. Glad I got to participate.

My version check error required a complete reinstall. I keep a partial back up on hand just in case something like this happens which shortens the process considerably.
It sounds like your fix did not require such a drastic method. So tell me, again, how could I have been more prepared? I had been playing just fine till servers went offline, it was only once the patch went live for download the error cropped up. I was still done downloading just before servers went live. Then a 9002 error hit, an error caused by SE themseleves and nothing on the player's end. That put me in an 800 person queue. I logged in five minutes late and wasn't able to relocate as planned.
Tell me, how could I have been better prepared? What other possible step could I have taken? How do you prevent an error not caused by your hardware or connection but by the game's own server?
Simple, you don't. SE admitted that their servers malfunctioned under the login strain. They hotfixed a glitch that prevented people from transferring their homes. It is right there in their statements and at this point you are being willfully ignorant and intentionally inflammatory.
Good day ser.

ahhh see you assume lol my wife n i got right i personaly didnt 2 $&^% about shiro housing since ive had 3 houses for a year, my wife did get her beach front in shiro, because she didnt get screwed by errors n q's, as i stated others were ready to they just got hit with errors and q times you can not prepare forI was downloaded and ready before launch, and applied the fix that was found for the bad launcher about 30 minutes before the server went live. Said fixes were not released 30 minutes prior to the game going live unless you completely reinstalled your game prior to that. And it seems like it didn't fix much since you admitted your launcher still malfunctioned, much like everyone else's launcher. There is literally nothing anyone can do to correct lobby server errors because that is a server-side, not client-side, error, but continue to tell yourself that.I was downloaded and ready before launch, and applied the fix that was found for the bad launcher about 30 minutes before the server went live. Yes. You CAN prepare for errors. I certainly did, which is why I was ready to go and others weren't.

Again, please stop with the pretentious condescension.

Luck. Yep. You didn't do anything I didn't do and I still had queues of 1000+. So what's your point? You did what probably tens of thousands of people did at that same time and were lucky enough to get in without much issue.Luck is DEFINITELY a trainable skill. And I don't know about you, but I definitely planned for it. I was up an hour before the servers went live so as to ensure installation of the patch went properly. (It didn't. The launcher borked. Sounds like sour grapes. But don't worry. 4.2 will have MOST of what you want. Might have to do some planning to get a large. You can do that, right?

Considering the popularity of a lottery-type system in the JP region, there’s a lot of speculation that’s what 4.2 is going to bring. Still just a shift in RNG/luck—now it’s not “Are you going to be lucky enough for the server not to crash on you” but “Are you going to be lucky enough for the server to choose you”. No planning involved there other than entering your name into the raffle and a lot of praying.
You got your house. Congrats. That doesn’t give you the right to act pretentious about it though, or give you the right to say others didn’t plan just as much or as hard, if not more so, than you. So please, take a few seats.

Even if they double the amount of Wards (unlikely, but for the sake of this post), it is not a lasting solution to Housing in this game. The more the community grows, the more in demand housing is going to become. Without a steady influx of supply, or an infinite supply a la instanced housing, there will be no satisfying the playerbase. Hence why so many people say to either shift towards or add instanced wards, or at least expand on the apartments so that they are not just more expensive FC rooms with none of the added FC benefits.
