Instanced Housing Seperate from Wards

I am all for instanced personal housing. Be it an apartment I can upgrade into a lavish penthouse with access to either a rooftop, backyard, or even conservatory style garden or be it a personal instance I could fully customize like chosing to live on a floating island or underwater. Either would have me leaving my ward for good (provided I could have visitors, I like having friends come sit on all my furnishings and help move things around).

If I got their answers in the interview right, they're gonna try spreading the next plots around so they won't end up in the hands of a few again. It's still going to leave the vast majority of players without houses though. So if they can find some other way to satisfy housing demands, why not? Let's not pretend instanced housing will diminish the social engagement of players. There's currently not much socializing in the wards anyway. What housing does most is incentivize players to staying subscribed. But maybe retention of players is not so urgent for SE right now and they've other priorities. Game is still selling, isn't it?

Where did you get this idea from just wondering.the latest interview had this in it..which to me seems there adding more to what ya have to have to buy a house like higher gc rank or seals or some thing

"The reason why we do not want to disclose any detail is that we want to give a fair chance to everyone. If we told you our plans, players will immediately start to prepare and we want to avoid that. That said, there will be more features and policies around this new addition, so please don't worry about plots selling out too quickly."

"Of course we are aware of this situation and we are looking into a different approach than adding wards to solve this."

"About players creating multiple accounts to buy more plots.... I'm afraid there is little we can do."

"Be assured that we are working on it and details on the new restrictions will be revealed very close to the release of the new wards in patch 4.2."

They're doing something to make the distribution of plots (the next ones) more fair but they can't announce anything early so hoarders can game the system again. Probably this time if they wanna hoard so bad the only way to do so is to pay for multiple accounts. But who knows, you know, is it really worth the money?

Is it possible to setup a server for all new instanced housing? I wouldn't want bigger wards either if it meant sacrificing the game's stability. But players need houses. Nobody likes being unwillingly locked out of content.

I would like instanced but ONLY if its optional because the rp community makes use of community features a lot and I would hate to see that gone.

i guest the word spread out we see differntly but yes anew way to sell and buy is coming,

If you think this is why SE isn't saying any thing we must be playing 2 differnt games..If any thing this company would make billboards if you had to buy extra accounts there all about the $$$$.
This is the same company that locked creating a character on a server then still allowed 1'000's of people to pay the $18 to transfer in saying welcome to Balmug enjoy the Q times. lol

Could also have to do with FC's. There was a recent hotfix to prevent FC Fraud (which is pretty broad) so it may be they're shifting to the priority system folks kept asking for with some wards FC priority, others transfer priority, and still others for those without any home.

Sounds convoluted but with SE who knows. /shrug

It's going to be random lotto isn't it? Except I don't know how you prepare for a lotto unless there are criteria that allow you to get multiple tickets for the same property.

Ive seen no mention of a lotto system other then by players..But i dont see how it be a lotto system with the statement "so please don't worry about plots selling out too quickly"(in the most recent statment)

I just wish they’d do something to compromise. Housing has so many features us homeless players would love to participate in.
