I'm kind of sick that Mage players have been told to bend over, grab there knees and to enjoy it.
When the game first started it was workable to level up on your own. The only downside was that we couldn't regain MP like HP, so we had to touch the Crystals or the Nodes, but this was fixed after awhile. But now Mages have been given the short stick for the last few patches and it needs to be fixed! I can barley fight two or three monsters with out losing half my HP and running out of MP! Never mind that Square Enix wants to make it so we cancel the spell we're casting if we go to walk. "What's that... You're running away from the monsters that are attacking you and you're trying to cast Cure, or the spell that would kill them.... Nope that's not good We have to change that. Really?!?
The cost to cast spells have gotten pathetic as well. Never mind that we lost a lot of our spells due to the revamp of all the classes. Below I listed what spells use to cost and what they are now.

Now yes I know that we have a lot more MP now then before and that's great.... If we didn't we wouldn't be able to cast more then two spells before we would have to stop and rest. And yes I know that the MP costs of the spells and how strong the spell is relates to our level. So the higher level you are the more damage the spell does (Normally happens when you level up anyways), and the more MP it takes.
With the new costs and the loss of AoE with the lower attack spells, and heaven forbid that you want to AoE a group of monster. Then we're stuck casting all the Level 2 spells... Or just Fire. So if we're fighting a group of monsters that are weak against Stone, we can only cast Stone 2 once for the AoE, and then move on to other AoE spells as we wait for the recast time to run out. I would love to see the return of the AoE option so we can decide if we want it on or not for ALL OF THE SPELLS, and the MP cost of all the spells to be taken down.
I would really like to hear what other people think on this.
