after reading some of this post, i'm kinda disappointed. i thought it was going to be similar to ffxi, like starting your new job from level 1. too bad for all those level 50s out there.

Too bad why? Last isn't grinding more classes/jobs that makes the job more enjoyable lol

I'm so excited! Now I know what I have to do to meet the requirements. Gotta start working on my Archer level and start up Conjurer.

Serenity seem to hit it exactly, as this is my thoughts too. Only think I can think is that GLA would be beneficial for WHM for stuff like Sentinel, Aegis Boon, etc. I wonder if they will have GLA ws's too, to perhaps help them solo? Atleast sentinel would definatley be beneficial though.
My goal is to get my Blue Mage Thread seen by Yoshida!

Remember! #bluemagexiv!

You guys looking into the second class req to much lol, it's just there to unlock the job that's it.
It's possible. I am known to over think things. But there have been several sources (a few I couldn't find in the translations thread from a long while ago by yoshida and a few vague clues I found in the same location) That lead me to believe that, even if a class isn't locked to only the sub classes abilities for cross classing, the sub class is definately intended to help the job with some of it's basic abilities.

Personally I'm wondering about the limitation of putting other class actions when becoming a Job. Would it be basically where the amount of actions you can put compared to class would be less? (Ex: 5 being half) or would it be where you can only put on certain classes actions (Ex: If Paladin can only put GLA + CON) would like for you to announce this in the topics as well. The one I couldn't remember I believe was from Yoshida, I looked hard for the source but couldn't find it. But he said something along the lines of "to unlock, say warrior. you would have marauder 30 and gladiator 15 to have the abilities from gladiator". Weather that means your locked to GLA only or not who knows.Originally posted by Triary

What you're guessing is pretty much correct.
For more details we are planning to announce in the topics so please hang in there.

We have 10 cross class abilities, we get 6 job abilities, that leaves us with 4 cross class abilities. I don't see why they would lock them to only the classes that unlock the job, so I assume the simplest explanation is the right one.
