You can keep telling your self that Stop trying to make XI to be this super hard game to lvl in. I got my Hume pld to 1-50 in 3 days after i Deleted my lvl 70 Taru rdm. Took me 3 days to lvl war 1-30 and pld 1-50. This was when i was in high school summer break and nothing else to do you can keep calling bs but its facts. Even after WotG the First Dancer on Vqlefor was lvl 75 in 2 Days -.-
I don't know where you get this idea that I'm some sort of XI defender, because I'm anything but. However, I know BS when I see it.
I think the thing people keep forgetting is that orginally FFXI had a level cap of 50, just like FFXIV does. The AF quests in XI took an entire party to farm the keys and kill the NM's if you did it between 50-60. They were HARD! Three of us were trying to get our BLM hats and had to get the aid of a 55 SMN to tank the elemental with carbuncle while we nuked, died, raised without hate and repeated. Took 25minutes to kill it. Even recently I remade a character on XI, got WAR to 40 to unlock AF weapon quest and couldnt solo it until I was 50. At 50 I unlocked the AF feet quest and I couldn't solo it until I was 60 and that was sub DNC for TP cures. I remember having a terrible time fighting those two orcs even at 70 before DNC came out! And don't get me started on farming keys in The Eldiemme Necropolis or Garliage Citadel.
The quests could be just as challenging, if not more so, this time around. Unlocking the jobs at 30 (just like in XI) is designed for 30's and at 30 will likely be soloable/duoable. At 50 they're going to be a cinch to solo no question about that. The armor though... I see that being a headache and a half, especially if it's going to be better than a triple meld item.
tl;dr - read it! :P There's plenty of hope for a challenge.

If its bull explain to me why its not possible then. i got 1-32 in one day is that believable to you? Hell actually you can get get 1-37 in less than 24 hrs it's possible and has been done many times. So if someone can get 1-37 in one day why not 37-45 the next day, and 46-50 the next. Also no TNL's from 1-50 are over 8k You can easily get 3-4k exp an hr with any pt set up pre 41.
It's not that XI was hard it was that Mostly no classes outside of BLM PuP BST BLU NIN THF PLD MNK SMN RDM could solo well. The game was not solo friendly. This is the same game where once you hit 50+ EP mobs was actually EM in challenge. XI just has this artificial barrier making you thinking the game was hard cause you could not do anything solo. IF every class in the game had tools like the above classes the game wouldn't have even seemed that hard.I think the thing people keep forgetting is that orginally FFXI had a level cap of 50, just like FFXIV does. Hello! We received some information about job-specific gear that I'd like to share with you.
It won’t be possible to attach materia to job-specific gear. Job-specific gear will feature stats that are better than gear that is craftable that have more than one materia attached. With that said, we will look into adding new gear in future patches that will have better stats than job- specific gear with multiple materia attached to them.
There was also a question about the reasoning for the job-specific gear being referred to as AF (or artifact gear). While the upcoming job-specific gear is a type of artifact gear, there are plans to have other types of artifact gear in the future, some of which won’t necessarily be job-specific.
Did no one else catch this contradiction where first Rukkirii said that we won't be able to attach materia to job specific gear, then says that new gear will be better than job specific gear with multiple materia attached (which can't have materia attached).
I do realize that the second bolded statement can be taken to mean that the new gear with multiple materia attached will be better than job specific gear, but then why not say it that way?
And anyone can claim anything as facts and they aren't really facts too.. Can't have cake and eat it too.. :/.If its bull explain to me why its not possible then. i got 1-32 in one day is that believable to you? Somebody once told me that arguing in a public blog is like competing in the special olympics.
You may have won the gold medal, but you're still a retard.
Let's just get along and contribute to the actual thread topic...
lol yeah I noticed that too..was like wtf.Did no one else catch this contradiction where first Rukkirii said that we won't be able to attach materia to job specific gear, then says that new gear will be better than job specific gear with multiple materia attached (which can't have materia attached).
