What would you tell them? I like a lot how the game is currently and understand how hard is to make decisions in such a complex game, but if they were looking for ideas and happened to ask me, the following list is what I'd tell them.

Additional signal wheel
From games like league of legends, you may press the middle button of the mouse and drags it top, bottom, right or left. In these positions you can assign actions, emotes, macros and such.

Official tab for static groups
Since end-game content can be frustrating for everyone, player skill and exigence over a challenge may differ (as well acceptance to mistakes/trolls), this tab would help especially players looking for serious groups and help to lower salt within the community.

Glamour for different classes
Some classes use the same gear, this can solve a current problem when you don't want your edgy dark knight to look like your heroic paladin.

Treasure hunt maps with open-world PvP
I believe Stormblood maṕs lack something, even more than Heavensward since the flying system was introduced, they feel too big and empty with fewer diversity of monsters and settlements, the introduction of treasure hunt maps along with increasing the fate experience (not just some fates, but fates in general) might help to populate maps a bit more and they would always be useful, so things like exploratory missions that are currently empty and unused probably wouldn't happen.

Enable Ihsgard and Ala'Mhigo as Grand Companies
Just a thought, but competition among companies might give the players more immersion.

Enable the speed-run tab and ranking
An interesting thing about running an instance again is trying to clear it with extreme efficiency and faster, every chest needs to be opened, every corner explored and every monster killed, so this would be a game mode where people would try to finish a dungeon (synced) and tell which party dealt higher damage per second, lowest damage and most efficient healing (that could be another fact that would build more statics).

An in-game tab for server ranking
Who is the richest? Biggest networth? Best gear and numbers of content cleared? Grand Company rank? PvP ranking? Should things could be accessible in-game, that would reward winners/try-harders and engage more competitors.

Wow that's neat. 1.xx had a lot of more details etc, but it's funny how they wanted that to be on ps3 when 2.xx barely worked on it haha.

We called it "Frontlines", and until they offered XP, much of the playerbase convinced themselves, often without trying, that it was "toxic", had "too many buttons", was poorly balanced, and avoided it like the plague.

Believe it or not, it's worse now than it was before, balance wise.

You can add more words to a single post by Editing it after posting (it makes no sense, but that's how the forums are).

My list is pretty much in my signature. From yours I would also like more ways to enjoy existing content, e.g. the speed trials (they already have this at real world events so it's definitely a thing).

Things like 'richest player' should never be publicised. It would be like a hit list for account thieves and toxic players.

Also, I wish they would fix the Feast: sort out party play, sort out chat (i.e. bring it back), sort out rankings; just plain sort it out. I love arena modes but the current offering isn't doing anything for me in its current state.

My FFXIV Wishlist:

1. More glamour for male characters!
2. A sighting of the legendary 'male bunny suit'.
3. An undersized option for current content (not unsynced).
4. A glamour log to solve the inventory crisis.

I know people laugh about glamour but it is legitimately demoralising to be repeatedly reminded that male characters are second class citizens in Eorzea which is why such a silly topic is right at the top of my personal list.

The glamour log would be such a life saver, just like what they did with transmogs in World of Wacraft, for males my wishes were all shattered when I heard Yoshi P saying that more face options are unlikely... Such potential lost... (just look at Estenien face and hair, dayum!), and yeah you're right about the gold, so maybe an adventuring log that you can level according with the amount of deeds you've done in the game (just like the player journal in Tree of Savior), I believe that could work too...
