There's no reason to try and logic the offending party out. They knew their gear was broken and all they could manage as a reply was an attack...

So yea, no reason to try and talk them into admitting the obvious. I'd kick them or leave the party myself.

I am like the most tolerant person in parties. But yea, if someone appears to be not trying at all then, the run is over. My only requirement in groups is that people appear to be trying and aren't actively trying to sabotage/troll the party and prevent success. This healer fails that test....
