Cap could be raised, doesn't really matter too much since there are other ways to get a lot of EXP, some they added recently. Alliance Raid daily is quite a lot of exp for the work (you can still do them even if people are dying constantly due to overgearing) and the beast tribe dailies barely take any time and give a ton of EXP.

I think if you view them as something you are grinding for instead of viewing it as something you are getting in addition to stuff you are going to be doing anyway it does seem kind of low. (i.e. I did 5 dungeons and all i got was 600k vs. I was going to do the 5 dungeons anyways and I got an additional 600k.)
