Is there a Ddos attack right now?

I'm in California

I can't access FF14:
- Got 90002 errors when logging in FF14.
- Opening this website took 2 minutes lol
- Multiple complaints from my ff14 friends as well as ff14 reddit saying 90002

Other things I noticed is I can't access major websites such as:
- Reddit (loading for 10 minutes still not done)
- NYtimes
- CNN
- wikipedia
- gizmodo
- This forum, I barely can access, finally load after a couple minutes

My internet is fine as I can go to these (more local?) websites just fine:
- all google and google caches
- ssh to my university server normally
- calfire website (calfire.ca.gov)
- random websites such as colorbrewer2.org

So this sounds pretty similar to the previous Dyn DNS attack:
(Have to use google cache as I can't access gizmodo)

EDIT: My tracert stopped at NTT. Seems NTT is having a problem ... hopefully it's not DDOS like before and can be resolved fast.

No idea, but I'm having the same issues you are and I also live in California. Do you by chance have Comcast? Was about to give them a call and start screaming in their ears lol...

Not comcast. It seems this is due to a DNS/data center or sort is down, as my tracert to FF and all those websites stopped at NTT, and this data center serves a lot of major websites/games including FF14 (see my link above)

I don't have an issue but I'm on Spectrum in the Midwest.

I can access all of the above.

Happening on Datacenter Primal - Malboro

I am from the UK and me and 4 other people in the skype are getting this problem. Its happened 5 times in the last 20 minutes.

Its not going down on status checkers but alot of people are being kicked.

EDIT: Actually some stopped at comcast... maybe it IS comcast? I don't know lol, my network knowledge is too noob for this. BUT THIS SUCKS REALLY HARD coz I was gonna do late omega savage clears before school and this BS happens ((((((((((((((

Right, seems that this down/glitch/attack happens on one of NTT node (? - not sure if it's called node) which is used by certain ISPs to access those websites and FF14.

I VPN'd to my univ internet and I can access all the websites above. My univ internet does not go through NTT.

I’m from the UK too. On the Louisoux server and I’m having the same problems, unable to log into ffxiv. I thought it was my internet having problems so thought to check here first just on the off chance that it was not my end. Seems like others having same issue as I can access the internet just fine with my tablet so I guess it’s not my end! Hope it comes back soon!

I'm in Virginia and having issues on my end. This site is sluggish. The launcher won't load all the way, there's a white box where the log-in stuff goes. Can't even play Overwatch. Been getting LC-101 and the like.

The rest of the internet is fine though. Twitter is a little slow, but not as bad.

Getting the same problem in the EU connecting to the Chaos data centre... The route was stopping in the middle of the telia.net hops.

Connecting to the Login server was fine, however.

Was able to get in game after a couple of minutes, but got disconnected again about 18:30 GMT.
Has been OK since about 18:36
