    Blade & Soul is good for this, but the combat system is the game's strength. There's abilities to discuss, matchups to ask for help on, classes to complain about. The PvP in FFXIV lacks the depth to have those conversations, and the combat itself is not engaging enough to get excited about on its own. IMO at least one of those needs to be above average before people will take it seriously. It's still fun in small doses, but I can't imagine doing it on a regular basis. New PvP content definitely helps, but I think it's working on the fundamentals of the combat system and making it more engaging that will bring the scene up more.

    I also have a bad habit of quoting people in a way that comes off as aggressive. It's not intended, I'm just terrible at writing tone and wanted to give my two cents on why I think PvP is treated the way it is in FFXIV.

    Forgot the name, but its a free MMORPG. There's no duty finder quing and instead you have to physically walk into (click the entrance) the area/dungeon to get in. You can go in yourself and solo, party up first and then go in together, or go in by yourself first and have your party members catch up to you (you can attempt a solo/light party and ask for help and invite other players to join in progress, theyd still have to find their way there and physically enter) What you often have happening is a gathering of players outside dungeons asking to party up.

    That'll bring more life to the community and overworld I feel.

    It's okay. I said that partially venting on how PvP's been somehow dumbed down and made worse for a mass appeal it still fails to achieve. For far too long the community has just accepted without experience that it's "bad" and "toxic" and I can't help but think it affected the changes that somehow made it worse. I never did get to try B&S' PvP (beyond a random attack between areas from a bored higher level player. I didn't win, but I made him work for it). I may check it out later today after work.

    As for a serious answer on other games' features, I really like TERA's Ninja and Gunner jobs; would love to see some of those ideas for XIV's NIN and MCH, or new jobs besides. Skyforge has a butt slider, and that's all I'll say about that. And as a selfish thought, even though it's dying, Ghost in the Shell: First Assault has really nice tactical gear designs. Would love more tactical gear for MCHs. (Filibuster was. . . okay. But not dyeable.)

    Yeah, the grapevine grows pretty thick here sometimes. Fortunately the devs seem to be firmly invested in it so even if it's not in the best state now, it should improve with time. If you end up going down the road with BnS PvP there's a guy named SupaHotVile that posted some old but really in-depth videos on Youtube. They helped me a lot when I first started out. Don't think he makes videos anymore, but he always seemed to be genuinely happy when people improved because of them.

    Could say the glam and housing but that's been listed many times before, so I'll just add this. So many uses for the item - that person AFK on the retainer bell or quest giver, the annoying FC mate, or the tank running in for the pull

    huh... no one's said mythic+? because m+ is great and would make me actually care for rerunning dungeons. atm i just don't go into them as i'm either bored of not having my lv 70 skills or bored of the same 3 dungeons at once, none of which are really challenging.

    GW2's dye system. It's simply the best I've seen in an MMORPG (out of the MMORPGs I've played, at least).

    Also the GW2 "fate" system; the world feels truly alive, and exploring it is a real adventure. I haven't seen any other MMORPG accomplish that like GW2 does. If Eorzea were like that, it'd be godly ;w;

    I also wouldn't say no to a huge, seamless world, but I understand that having different maps might make it easier for the devs to create different looking areas.

    In a MMO I used to play, there was an official in-game cooking competition, and fashion contests.
    I don't think the cooking would work here, but it would be very cool to see something similar!
    Also; panels for dying different parts of the same clothing piece.

    Any kind of content that is worth paying my sub more than a week at every patch maybe...?
