Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
I was thinking of something more alike to Vindictus's skill previews, but having the option to extend that footage further to show from what and into what it combos, if a combo skill, etc.

1) Make items have npc prices when selling.. a few dozen gil for a level 70 ore/wood/item is just stupid.
2)Blitzball and other mini games. combat and non combat. gold saucer only has mini/jumbo cactpots, verminion, Triple triad, and chocobo racing, the rest is not really worth messing with..
3)the ability to play anything, anywhere. I could play Lord Of Verminion with my wife in the fc house or while waiting for a queue..but noooooo. This is probably the number one reason why i don't play mini games as much as i could. Triple Triad only gives you mgp 3 times a day against a player and you cant fight npcs unless you go to them..
4)mod support. Im sick of tiny breasts, non-existent buttocks and bulge-less groins, awful textures that look like they were made by a teenager for a highschool project and listening to the same stupid music over-and over-and-over. If you cant afford to make extra content let modders do it. ...just create a no-cheat-mods policy and it would work out great, entirely optional and freeeeeee. Devs basically lose nothing. Pc players already use parsers and mods anyways. I would love to eliminate the awful UI for a custom one.

Monster breeding.
You realize the same already applies as soon as you have more than one job of each type, if not for limit gauge gimmicks, and as soon as you have more than 2 each within the categories Ranged, Melee, Tanks, and Healers, right?
So a particular way of playing x class is discouraged in serious endgame content? That's a fair bit better than having an entire class pushed out of the cutting edge progression scene...

FFXI showed why this will never be implemented (and why npcs only buy items for tiny amounts. Players in FFXI discovered certain items could be sold to npc vendors for quite large amounts and so would endlessly farm those items, racking up huge profits. This in turn attracted RMT and bots to do the same, and it just all went downhill from there. Needless to say, SE reduced the amounts they could be sold for, but the damage was done. And they clearly wanted to head off any repeat here in FFXIV. So this will never happen.
Account storage chest shared between all characters on the same world. PSO2/PSU
Pankration- The pokemon like mini game in FFXI where you catch and train monsters to fight in an arena.
Besieged and Campaign Battles - FFXI
Housing shared between all characters on an account on the same world.

There's a lot of good ideas they can look to EQII for
- Instanced housing, including separate floorplan guild houses for guilds (FCs here) and themed housing and floorplans based on the area
- Pets that will wander your house and fight each other
- If they didn't want to do the full transmog log like WoW they could do appearance slots like EQII (though really they should just do the log)
- Mailing alts
- Allowing alts access to your house
- Mannequins to display armor in your house
- The ability to turn weapons or armor into display pieces for your house, though mostly just for the Heritage quest items there
- I think last I played I was able to use materials from my bank for crafting. I know you can do this in WoW and it has separate reagent banks you can purchase with gold
- Shared bank slots accessible by all characters on the account
