My only real issue with this boss (and to a lesser degree the entire raid) is that it seems to be designed to punish melee players. Pretty much pick a boss at random, and every time I've tried to even do my opener, one mechanic or another happens before I've gotten even halfway through, and I'm forced to dodge out of melee range. By the time I can get back into range, my timers are all off-kilter, and any attempt I make to execute even a partial opener/rotation from then on is similarly interrupted anyway. Ranged/casters, while they have their own things to worry about, don't seem to have this issue, based on FC mates' experiences.
Also, control towers DO put out markers...as the attack itself is going off. By the time it does, it's too late for the markers to mean anything, just like with some of Ferdiad and Scathach's attacks. Seems like a waste of time to me--either make the markers last long enough for us to use them to help dodge, or don't include them at all.
Were we born to fight and die? Sacrificed for one huge lie?

Pointed at the enemy so someone else can claim a victory?

On my first run just got surprised by a couple mechs, but the rest of it was pretty obvious to figure out... I mean you're seeing a 100 feet pillar falling down, you don't stay under it lol

A 24 man raid or dungeon that has mechanics where you can't just faceroll through it doesn't become midcore because of that. The mechanics in the 24 man raid are easy to manage and only the boss with the black and white mask stuff can confuse people a bit until they understand how it works. The problem is just that the so called EXPERT stuff is stupid faceroll, it doesn't even to be called easy anymore it just head ----> keyboard and done.Actually I deem collecting tomes as casual content there is no thought process in any of the Ex dungeons. Even the dungeons from 61 - 69 have harder mechanics. So yes I class the 24 man as mid-core/transitional as you can wipe easily on many mechanics if you don't pay attention.
But anyway I already explained my opinion in the rest of the sentence u chose to edit......
The only machanic I can see that can be confusing is "scatter". Now, maybe is just because English is not my main language, but I assumed scatter means spread out. But once I learned it, was pretty simple.


It's not just you – it's an odd choice of word for what it actually wants you to do in-game.



Hashmal's definitely the hardest boss in Rab but he's not that hard. There's only a few mechanics to remember.
