    An idea for The Feast

I enjoy PvP in this game, but sometimes I feel like in the Feast there's some sort of lack of strategy in the mechanics, often leading to just a pointless spam of skills. So I started thinking about other elements that could potentially make the Feast more stimulating and challenging.
My idea was to introduce two gates: a blue gate and a red gate, one for each team. They have a 4 minutes countdown each, that can be cut down by 30 seconds for every kill that one team gets over the other. Once the countdown of a team expires, a lock will automatically spawn on that gate, that must be dps down by Fangs or Claws (depending on the color of the gate). Destroying the lock, two Red Wolves (or Blue Wolves) will pop from the gate and will start attacking the other team.

Of course, this will lead to some changes, such some generating aggro skill for tanks, but I think that could make this mode much more interesting (and ranged DPS limit break of some utility? )

While that's not a bad idea, a pressing concern for most of the PvPers in this community is the devs' seeming gravitation away from direct combat. In Frontlines, while Seal Rock is the technically superior game mode over Shatter, because it encourages active engagement between the teams to fight for objectives, Shatter discourages it while making objectives almost too important.

As far as the Feast goes, it's the last "pure" form of Player vs Player content in game currently, and many players would not want to see non-player based objectives added to it (especially where and when adrenaline and Wolf's Heart buff boxes can already be considered as such). Adding something that would shift the focus from a direct confrontation between two teams to objectives would likely be received very poorly, at least where the Feast is concerned.

This right here. As someone who trolls bases in Shatter because it is more PvP oriented than the first team to Ice. I am to the point I don't even care about the loss anymore if I can distract a team for long enough.

The problem with feast is that there's too much responsibility on the healer on average. The healer impacts the game the most if they are bad or good, and healing is also stressful and unfun due to the server tics often prioritizing damage over heals. So you either get very good or very bad healers, and small amounts of both.

I hate to say this, but its probably best if healers essentially turn into support dps, similar to symmetra from overwatch. More about buffs, shields, and support ability then raw cures.

Please don’t add more pve to pvp. Having to dps the boxes is bad enough

There are many games with many different pvp modes(Capture the flag, zones, team deathmatch, whatever) recycled. The devs of those games recycle those game modes because 1. they are fun and 2. they work.

SE made the decision to create the medal system, to punish teams who get kills. And they reduced the skill gap with the with the press "9 buttons fast" system. In a fair match the team with the early lead will lose often at the end because of the 10-20% more damage incoming(which they didn't change since years, but it would have been necessary with the pvp revamp, it is 2 much).

So No, I dont trust them to create and optimize a newly invented pvp game mode like you propose. They take several months or up to a year to address minor changes in abilities.
People still don't understand the medal system in feast, it is to complicated for the majority or they don't care.

Doesn't help chat's been restricted for all, so you can't even explain it on the fly. . . Gotta just hope that maybe that player knows or looked up some basic info before they queued. What a great improvement. /s
