Devs don't care about American players.

Second time in less than a week I try to log in and the servers are down for maintenance. During prime time west coast playing hours. Why am I paying for this if I never get to play it because it is always down when I have time to play.....shows devs don't give a crap about a large amount of their players IMO. If they started at 5pm pacific time, that means they started at 9am in Japan. Why not do it over night in Japan, like lets say starting at 12am, that is 8am pacific, 11am east coast, the times most people are at work or in school, it also covers Japan as most people will be asleep by then. Why am I even having to point this out, it's pretty standard. Devs are either clueless, or like I said, don't care at all about pissing off a large portion of players. Bad Business.

If you bothered to look, you would have seen that this is emergency maintenance which is why it's so early. And are you seriously complaining that you "never get to play" due to maintenance? The servers are down for 4 hrs out of the 720 hrs you paid for the month and agreeing to required maintenance is also part of the license agreement, so what exactly are you complaining about.

I don't have a problem with them doing maintenance, I actually like that, and FFXIV runs very smooth, that is part of what I like about it, my problem is the time. Sure they say emergency but both times it was scheduled out the day before, they could have scheduled it for later. If you look at the maintenance post it seems to be happening weekly if not multiple times a week, though I will say many were at better times than the last two. All I am saying is this is the first MMO I have ever played that schedules maintenance during prime time hours for a large portion of their players.

It was scheduled later originally. When i logged in it was scheduled for 10 pm pdt, however it was changed to 6 pdt for one reason or another that they didn't give any info about so your guess is as good as mine there.
