    [Request] ARR Hunt Adjustments

    With some of the recent discussion about hunts I was thinking more recently about the level 50 hunts, and well, a lot of people seem to be struggling to get to them and receive the rewards.

    These days, literally anyone can go out and solo the ARR a ranks these days without breaking a sweat and S ranks only need a small party to be taken down within a few minutes. Even if you immediately drop everything the second its called (assuming you get a call for it the moment its found) and go there using the most efficient routes chances are you've already missed it.

    So...I've thought up a few ideas for adjustments. Insight and comments are welcome, but lets try and stay constructive.

    A) Increase the stats for all a/s ranks in the ARR realms to make them more difficult to do solo or small parties
    Con: By increasing the stats it makes it harder for actual level 50 players to participate, while it would do little to deter/affect level 70 players
    B) Increase the spawn frequency of ARR A/S by reducing the cooldown timer to a shorter amount
    Con: They can still just as easily be killed, just more often
    C) Change the system to be similar to tomestones; make HW A/S ranks give allied hunt seals and centurio seals only for level 70/SB items, repeat every time theres an expansion
    Con: Since its the same system as tomestones essentially, people might be unhappy with the repetitiveness
    D) Get rid of allied entirely and replace with Centurio
    Cons: ???

    If you are actively hunting, you should never miss one in the zone you are in. You shoulnd't be complaining if you are at your house crafting and miss one. the system is not designed for everyone on the server to get credit.

    It's up to the person that finds it first whether they want to call it out for others and risk not getting full credit or just kill it themselves either solo or with a select group of friends or their FC.

    Want to get these hunts more often then actively search for them. If you miss one because you were doing other things and waiting for someone to find them for you then you've got nothing to complain about. The entire server isn't entitled to kill credit just because it spawned in game.

    Odds are if the person does call it out the first 8 man party there is going to pull it and kill it because they have other places they want to be.

    Hmm, could be your server community honestly. Here people wait a bit for others to gather up before killing for the most part. They won't wait forever though so you still gotta move when the call first goes out.

    You seem to contradict yourself here.

    I don't really see an issue with older hunts. If you want to kill them, go out and hunt them. They're usually not always hunted down as fast as newer ones so it shouldn't be much of an issue.

    make ARR hunt bills work like HW and SB hunt bills.

    my server doesn't do hunts. My g/f and i recent found stormblood a rank hunts while gathering, we do shouts and no ine replies or comes. It can be an hour. A few have sat near where my g/f gathers.

    the only cons, to ant of your proposals are

    1) increasing them will not help, it just makes them harder to kill on smaller servers which can f over gatherers.

    2) world f over the people just getting centrio seals

    3 ppl see it as a nerf.

    i think ARR hunt bills should be 3 daily +1 weekly. not every server has dedicated hunters. Not everyone can be online for hunts. With more hunt bills you still doing the work to earn your rewards.

    personally i rather see centerio seals combined with allied seals. have it lore wise the clan partnered with the grand companies since ishgard was added to the grand company alliance. we have not see much change in ishgard since they were added. Plus how are centerio seals in kugane?

    It makes 0 sense to me to have 2 currency for the same content. Lore flavor wise both hunt bills are the same.


    asking for changes is not a nerf btw. -_- (inb4nerf shouters)

    Considering hunts are supposed to be a community activity and it's impossible to solo even A ranks when at relevant level (currently all Stormblood hunts), I sincerely doubt this was the intended design. Increasing the HP, level or lowering ours wouldn't change anything except make ARR and HW hunts not die simply by giving them a dirty look.

    Its been stated that A ranks were designed for parties of 4-8, and S ranks were designed for 3 parties of 8. No where close to the mobs that go to them

    Assuming this correct, they were incredibly naive then. It doesn't really add up since they actively promote massive groups by adding raid tokens and the new mount. That will only encourage more people to hunt, which they have to know. Either way, hunts are presented as open world content and treated by the community as such. Like I said, it wouldn't change anything to scale old hunts to what they used to be. You don't even need parties now.

    People seem to think I'm against other finding and pulling hunts when you find them and I'm not (exactly, anyways). But the current system and scaling, as is, isn't very efficient. The only way to get allied hunt seals is either

    A) Being able to snag an ARR hunt
    B) doing really tedious daily hunts

    While I don't hunt as much as I used to I'm not unused to the experience of looking for an A rank when it should be up only to learn later that someone else found it, solod it, and didn't mark it down which wastes my time and leaves me without the reward. I'm sure others can relate or have shared similar experience. While it's hardly an issue for me, the same cannot be said for others who are newer, returning from a long break, want a more varied experience than hunting all day, or have a limited time to play.
